Do you think Nick Jonas is being overdramatic that he has diabeties?

I was watching disney channel and they were talking about nick jonas having diabeties. They made it sound all depressing like he was going to die or something. He even wrote a song that goes "you dont know how it feels and you never will" or something like that. Then hes like oh its hard to go through this everyday blah blah blah. I dont get it. ITS ONLY DIABETIES. Hes depressed that he cant eat a ton of sugary stuff? Diabeties is not a big deal. Who else thinks he is being wayy overdramatic with this?

I agree with you. I know tons of people with diabetes, and they don't practically brag about it. So yeah, I think he just likes the attention. Good question! =)

DO YOU HAVE DIABETES?... I am guessing no. So you dont know if its hard to handle some days.

The difference with all the other people who have diabetes is that they are not singing to thousands of fans every night. They have time to devote to keeping themselves healthy he does not. Its much harder to manage diabetes if you are on the road 24-7. You dont really have that much options on what you can eat.

got the news today docter said I had to stay a little bit longer and I'll be finee. but you dont know what you got till its gone and you dont know what its like to feel so low.

...WHATS WRONG WITH THOSE LYRICS... its better than songs that have no soul or meaning..ex: SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE IT..meaningless

Yes, I do. It is hard to have diabetes and all, but writing a song about how no one can understand is being WAY to Drama-Queenish...

Nope. and he is lucky he only has Type 1 diabetes but if it was type two. its worst. what if you had diabetes and ppl sed that to you. he also made a song called "A Little Bit Longer" for fans who had a hard time in life. and that song has touched many ppls hearts.

DOODE GIVE HIM A BREAK. IT DOESNT MATTER IF ITS JUST DIABETES. IT COULD BE "JUST DIABETES" TO YOU, BUT TO HIM IT COULD BE A LOT MORE THAN THAT. Well, I dislike them as much as any other person with good taste, but still, to live with diabetes is just another problem in your life to deal with, among the other ones, so it doesn't help.

ummm well i have diabetes and it is definatly A LOT to take care of. it can kill you eventually. maybe he is being overdramatic idk what he says about it or how he acts but it is a big deal.

You might think its not a big deal but it is. A lot of people have it and to some people its a big deal. Like you might like a food before you knew you had diabetes and now you probably can't eat it because it might have to much sugar. And your blood sugar would get to high and you might feel sick. And he's not even being over dramatic with it. It's just a big part of his life that he wants people to know about and let them know that even if you have diabetes you will be ok.

Well, you can't really say that Diabetes isn't a big deal. It actually is, especially for those who go through it. There is no cure at all, so far at least. It sometimes is hard to go through. I'm not a diabetic, but I do know they have to manage their sugar levels a lot and give themselves shots several times throughout the day. Unless you are diabetic, you can't just say it's not a big deal. It must be harder for him because of his busy schedule including few concerts a day, interviews, traveling, radio stations, fan meetings, making music, running around on stage, and even the little things everyday people do. It's not just the sugary stuff he can't eat. He has to watch his diet as well (like carbohydrates and other starches) and get plenty of exercise to maintain a healthy weight on top of dealing his his lifestyle now. You might not think it's a big deal, but it is for him, his family, and many other diabetics. And I actually think he's helping other kids who have diabetes for someone to look up to. He's spreading awareness and I'm glad he announced it to the people. Overall, I don't think he's being overdramatic at all.

no i think ppl would think that but its really hard especially if you are a rockstar not always eating healthy and you kno he feels sad because every time he sings a little bit longer he crys and i feel his pain i love him so much

No not really. because it may not be a big deal to you, but its a big deal to him. hes not really making a big deal over it, he barely talks about it. that was only one time on disney channel and he may write at least ONE song about it, but to him its a good topic to write a song about. and to him its a big deal, it may not be to you, but it is to him

no i dont think hes being overdramatic, i think the press releases it like hes the one being overdramatic but nick deffinitely isnt. hes makin his own organization to help prevent it which is good but diabeties sucks. and he talks about it everynow and then but i dont think hes makin a big deal outta it

WTH! diabetes is a serious illness! and how would u know anyway?! are u diabetic....yeah i dont think so....my grandpa had diabetes, so i feel bad for people that have it, they're not just talking about nick jonas they talk about finding a cure for everyone who has diabetes. u should read about diabetes and then post this question if u feel the same way.

not getting the right amount of insulin can lead to HUGE TROUBLE!

and anyways he just showing how strong someone with diabeties can be!
