  1. Part of me wishes he had done so to shut up the hillary harpies, but he has more spine and integrity than to give in to that. He knows how much hatred Hillary engenders among conservatives and a lot of moderates. He would not help him as much as she would hurt him.

  2. Huge, but, she wouldn't have taken it.

Obama should have become her vice president.

Hillary plans on running in 2012 and she can't if Obama is elected.  On the other hand, if Obama had eight years of being Vice President he would probably walk into the Presidency.

Personally I think Obama is slime so I am glad he played it the way he did.  Big loser, probably won't run again.

PS 2 typos and I missed them before posting.  Time to get off the computer.

  3. Yes.

An Obama/Clinton ticket, in my opinion, would have been a tough nut for McCain to crack.

No one really knows which way Hillary's supporters will vote come November - but Obama could have known if he had picked her.

  4. No. Hillary isn't built for VP. She would have a better time in other places, like S.o.S.

Hillary messed it up for herself when she hired that woman that portrayed her as a cold heartless nagging housewife. I don't know if she can ever recover from that. I *loved* her at the end of her campaign, especially when she withdrew, but... something has to change with these people behind the scenes. They seem to have too much power IMO. That is why I am glad Obama writes his own speeches and no one can speak for him.

What she needs to do is find her independence, stop listening to all of those people she surrounds herself with, and get rid of that shallow husband!

  5. Only from the Republican's point of view.  She is a Hate magnet for the Republican rank and file.  They would have been VERY fired up to defeat any ticket with her on it.

  6. I heard a rumor that Hillary made a deal with Obama to be appointed as a Supreme Court Justice in lieu of her being Vice President. Now that is downright, totally scary!

  7. No, with Hillary as VP Obama would have to worry every day about being assassinated by a Clinton agent. Biden was a safe pick, but I think Bill Richardson would have been a better one. Richardson as VP would have guaranteed Obama at least 70% of the Hispanic vote.

  8. yes, yes i do

  9. It has been said that  Michelle made the decision not to have Hillary on the ticket.  She hates her, and since Obama has to live with his wife, buckled under the pressure.   However, I think Hillary knew that he couldn't win without her and wouldn't have accepted it anyway.  She's just hoping he goes down in flames, either before this election and she ends up the nominee, or loses in November and she's clear for 2012.

  10. I don't think he could win with Hillary since too many people REALLY HATE her. I also don't think he can win without her.

Joe is a bad choice since Barry says he the candidate for "change."

  11. No, he was NEVER going to pick Hillary.  That idea floated for a few days after the primaries ended, and when it was thought through by the Democratic leadership, it became obvious it would never work.  I don't think Barack ever even considered her.

  12. No, because Hillary is too strong of a person to accept a secondary role like VP.  The only role she would have been comfortable with is President, and by not vetting for VP or entertaining the idea she can continue to be a Senator and have more control over things than she would have as a VP and having to answer to Obama.

Biden has many good qualities for VP, and a few obvious bad ones.  But given all the choices today in America, Biden is definitely one of the best picks Obama could have gone with for what he wants to accomplish in Washington and America.

  13. of course not.  clinton was never in the running; why would she have been?  you picking up talking points off the mcShame website?  this is a non-issue to everyone except the republicans.  but it won't work.

  14. No.

Hillary would have overshadowed Obama on everything. Ever time Obama would make a decision, the media would immediately go to Hillary or her husband and ask for their opinion on it waiting for them to dissent. It would be a circus.

Obama's mistake comes in choosing a candidate that mocked him and spoke down on him while in the primaries. Obama should have chosen someone who was middle of the road and not a life long Democrat. This was the same man who at the beginning of primary season made reference that the way Obama articulated himself and conducted his campaign was astounding for a black man.

    Obama/Biden '08=Dole/Kemp '96

  15. Yes he did. It may cost him the election at the end of the day. You don't ignore 18 million Clinton voters and not expect is to cost you. I was supporting Hillary and now will support Obama only because I detest Mccain and the GOP.
