During yesterdays speach, it felt like he said a lot of things that he couldn't make happen in four years. What do you think?

  1. He'll try but you can bet the Republicans will do everything in their power to stop him.

  2. Individual responsibility and mutual responsibility...and that's all I have to say.

ADD: I will add this though, you need to look at a person's heart, that will determine how sincere a person is, look at his heart...

    Obama/Biden

ADD: EBOLA, LOL you can protect a country without having troops there, besides they don't want us there.

  3. That's how I see it, too.

He has never given us any inkling of a plan!  It's ideas all ideas.  It's like saying you plan on going to Timbuktu and never find a map or ask anyone how to get there.

Which makes me think... it's all about the power for him.  No real desire to make the changes.  Just a desire to get elected, IMHO.

  4. No, he can't live up to the promises he made on Wednesday because that will void out the promises he made on Tuesday

  5. Why not let him try, rather than just giving up and settling for these lame *** Republicans that don't even put enough effort in to pretend they give a **** about this country!

  6. well number one, remind ourselves that we are not a democracy.  We are a capitalist republic (very different in philosophy, we elect people to make decisions for us).  And the only reason we held supremacy in the world was because of the demolition to other powers in the evils of WWII.  Europeans see their current advantage to the US dollar as natural selection.  They still see America as founded on the exodus of their societal scum.  We still have things to live up to, completely out of what we see as inherently American.  Like Apple Pie.  Tasty as it may be, America has to adapt to globalization as it approaches a one world economy.  Don't let the rest of the world ( or you) forget what the United States have accomplished despite all of our blemishes.  The fact is, the economy has nothing to do with the presidency, NOTHING. Clinton was boosted by the dot.com bubble that busted right before Bush.  Nowadays it all has to do with the world economy, and we feel the hurt not because of our own policies, but because of developing countries like India, China, Venezuela, Brazil, and even the formation of the European Union. (the world's new superpower).  All of Obama's promises, I **** you not, the only thing he can really do is raise taxes.  He is in for a hurt. but I don't think he'll really get elected.

  7. Anybody can make promises.

  8. Pretty boy Obama talks a pretty good talk but can he walk the walk and just how does he plan on funding all his empty ideas? The American people cant stand to be taxed any more and his ideas dont fit within our current budget. Maybe hes planning on cutting his and everyone elses in the Governments salary down to minimum wage?  Nah I was just having a momentary lapse of a good thought there

  9. I don't know. That is why I am looking forward to the debates and getting more detail on exactly what he means by "change". How is he going to pay for all of it, how realistic is his energy plan etc. Same with McCain.

Hey Ms. Hilton, I would say 80% of Alaska believe so.

  10. I wonder will Sarah Palin be able to live up to hers as she now thinks that she can crack the glass ceiling better than Hillary Clinton.

  11. It's impossible.  Literally impossible.  His blueprintforchange.pdf file on his website has numerous promises that contradict other promises.  Like how he'll bring home the troops from Iraq...but then he says he'll keep Iraqis safe.  How's he gonna pull that one off without troops there?  He also says things that are just comical, like that he'll secure all loose nuclear material in the world within 4 years.

  12. Not even close.  All he wants is to be the first black President.  He doesn't have to do anything but make you believe he can live up to them.  Most of his policies are just what he knows people, who are having a bad time, want to hear.

As a Senator, he couldn't do anything to create 5,000,000 new jobs, but he can as President? No.

  13. He'll attempt to do as much as he can. He has 20 years of experience serving the people. On the other hand, veterans are unhappy with McCain's false promises.

Palin's record doesn't begin to come close to Hillary's or Obama's.

  14. Who cares He is the savior He well ,as Hillary said ;open the sky and the sun well shine and give us all everlasting life

  15. Even the most stupid of his supporters, and there definitely seem to be some very, very stupid ones, don't believe all that c**p.  They DO believe that they personally will get all sorts of goodies, though!

  16. in short, yes

  17. No.

As a Native American I see Obama as another two-forked spider at the center of a web.

  18. obama's so so speech yesterday sounds very familiar, he's been saying the same kind of stuff, he just made a summary of them. very boring, nothing new.

but with the Palin introductory speech, i mean that's wow.

    Mccain/Palin 2008

  19. No.

It is called pandering. Obama is trying to convince America why he should be elected. Once he gets there, the Republicans in Congress will put a halt to his ideas. If not them, then the lobbyists will do the job.

  20. It will be literally impossible since he's gonna lose the election.

  21. If you have listened to his speeches before now you would realize he is an "empty suit"

He talks and sounds great, but doesn't have any substance.

He will not even attempt to do the things he promised at the convention.

  22. no

  23. Has he lived up to the promises he made to Illinois in 2006?

  24. No President ever lives up to all his promises, I don't expect Obama to make everything just magically happen when he takes office.  When has this "democracy" we live in ever worked like that?

I am voting for him because I respect him and believe he and Michelle are good, accomplished and intelligent people who share my ideals.  Biden was my first choice for VP, Obama was always my first choice for President, ever since I heard him speak at the 04 DNC, when I had no idea of his ethnic background.
