Do you think Oprah is doing that Olympic special for ratings?

Now that most people would rather watch Ellen.

Oprah always does something spectacular for her season's opener.  Last year she moved her show to NYC so David Letterman could be her guest.  Since the Olympics are so great and a current event, why not?  Good for Oprah.  That woman knows how to get the ratings. But...I'd imagine if Ellen is on opposite of O, people would turn in to see if Ellen talks about her marriage.  It'll be a toss-up.

why you hating on oprah? she is a legend. and besides, the only reason people watch ellen is because she has a d.j. so she can dance around like a bear.

Almost everything done on TV is for ratings.

But Olympians are extraordinary, and Oprah probably just wants to meet them too. I think it's gonna be a great show.

While I dislike her, she does one thing great, promoting herself.
