Do you think Palin/family are mentally and emotionally tough enough to withstand ?

  Sure she can she has nothing to hide and what few chinks she has in her armor shes basically immune to any real meaningful attacks from the left.

What CHOICE do they have? Palin took the choice for her family to live a normal life away. In the wake of her narccissistic choice to grasp at that golden goblet of life, she forgot the most important aspect of WHO SHE IS...her family. What goes around comes around.

You need tough skin to be a fundamentalist. I'm willing to bet they have the sort of lack of normal human empathy to withstand anything the press hurls at them.

She is tough as nails ... she will be able to handle anything and her family will be a typical family .. they will have the ups and downs ... to be criticized for being human is tragic ... I love how people can be brutal .. when they have so many tragic "hidden" flaws themselves ...

I doubt she will be able to keep it all from them. They are from a small town, people talk.  I'm quite sure they get all the news from back home.  

I just hope she was able to prepare her family for this kind of life.  It's pretty tough being the kid of any political person.

Absolutely. Seriously. ever met a mother of 5? Theres nothing in washington that i dont think she wouldnt be able to handle after 4 much less 5 kids!

Yes, I do.  I believe she's a fighter and has plenty of moxy.  Don't under estimate the power of a woman.

No I don't and I think that they will soon realize that where they are going is not worth going through the pain needed  to get there and Palin will ask McCain to find somebody else to be his VP

Yes, she had to have known what to expect before excepting McCain's offer.  This is nothing, so her kid is pregnant, if this is the biggest thing people have on her, she's in like Flynn.

Personally I question her judgment (and McCain's) for putting her daughter through all this to further her personal political aspirations.

Any fool could foresee the fallout over this.

Politics and power can do very strange things to people.

I suppose though, there are only a very minimal number of Republicans in the country with 6 years of executive experience.

Sarah Palin should be commended for putting aside the needs of her family and rising to the challenge.
