  1. no. they only know pippen when the name jordan comes up.

have you encountered an article about pippen where jordan isn't mentioned?

  2. Okay, let's put it this way.  Both are almost of the same height.  Pip is 6'7", Bron's 6'8".  LBJ has the wider heavier built although both are strong and extremely muscular.  But James would have the slight advantage in strength.  Both players are fast and quick though again James is a little quicker.

Offense-wise, LeBron is a natural scorer while Pip was a playmaker.  Though he starts at small forward, Scottie actually played the point for the those Bulls teams he played in.  He didn't have to worry 'bout scoring because he played alongside the greatest scorer of 'em all.  But make no mistake, Pippen can score anytime, anywhere when needed.  When MJ retired the first time, Pippen easily became the Bulls top scorer and go-to-guy.  James, at this stage of his career, doesn't have too many clutch plays or shots.  James drives very well to the hoop, can post up and hit from afar.  Pip though had better percentage from 3-point range and could certainly hit 'em when needed.  So as far as offense goes, LBJ has my nod.

Both guys are great passers but Pip was the better ballhandler.  He was very smooth, calm and composed in any situation so playmaking ability goes to Pippen.

Defense? No contest here.  Scottie's one of the all time great defenders.  He can defend almost anyone, from centers to guards (remember Magic in '91 and Stockton in '97-'98?).

And here's the big difference:  Pippen's got 6 titles.  Of course LBJ should win a couple or more in the future, but for now....

  3. no...he could not carry his team like lebron does...

  4. hmmm its close but gotta say lebron is better overall,, pippen and bron were both 6'8 but lebron outweighed pippen by 20lbs,, so physically bron is better, and in terms of skills they're pretty much equal,, lebron is a better scorer but in other areas theyre equal theyre both triple double monsters,,  but pippen was a way better defender earning 10 all nba defensive honors

  5. Both fill out a different role for their teams:

Pip was always the Robin, while James always played the Batman role.

Offensively, While both have great court vision, Cleveland have yet to give James an able back-up scorer for James to facilitate offensively, Pippen always had better teams in his career, remember when drafted in 1987, Pippen already have an incoming MVP and DPOY in Michael Jordan, John Paxson, a co-rookie in Horace Grant and a great defensive stalwart in Charles Oakley (we all know that Oak was traded for Bill Cartwright to complete the Bulls championship starting line-up). And then again in Houston where he would for a triumvirate with Olajuwon and Barkley. And I think you can still remember that powerhouse Portland team.

James was the main offensive weapon for Cleveland, Pip only tasted that responsibility in 1993 to early 1995 before Jordan came back. Technically, Pip is a more sounder offensive threat having developed a more accurate jumpshot that James has not. But let me remind you that James came right straight from high school, so the talent is a little raw and he can develop it later in his career.

Defensively, hands down, Pippen would own James big time. It's a no contest since Pippen handles more of the dirtier jobs to lessen Jordan's load and he can focus more offensively. The main thing is James have yet to win a defenise team award to Pippen's multiple accolade in that dimension of the game. I'm not saying James might not develop it but at this time being Pippen is edgier here in this department.

Both players came from different  background and different situations, LeBron thrives a more dificult path than Pip, being the sole saviour of his team. Collectively Pippen is a better player, with the better basketball environment, but I'll never disqualify James being the heart and soul of his team for most of his career so far.

    Hope this helps.

  6. Better? No, but I do think that as an overall player he was about as good as Lebron is now.

Think of it, Pippen was the leader of the Bulls during the 94-95 season but couldn't really take them far by himself.

LeBron is the same way, he cannot lead his team by himself, he needs a sidekick sort of speak to help him

But as a defender and shooter Pippen was better.

  7. i think he is beacuse jordan overshadowed his good skills so pippen never really played at his highest level

  8. ..no

  9. Pippin was a better shooter and defender and possibly had a higher Basketball IQ.

It ends there. LeBron is better in all other aspects of the game and is easily the better player.

  10. lebron is better, just my opinion
