Do you think President Bush is handling the situation between Russia and Georgia properly?

Georgia is our ally btw. President Bush has already expressed his support for Georgia and expected Georgian success. Russian President has already expressed his plans to eradicate Georgia and knows that he can level Georgia in a few days/weeks. This is why it makes no sense to "SIDE" with "good or evil"....

  1. GEORGIA KNOWS RUSSIA FOR MORE THAN 15 CENTURIES AND THEY ARE NOT HONOURABLE! THEY ARE RED MONSTERS AND US MUST HELP GEORGIA TO GET OVER IT OT NEXT CAN BE ANY OF YOUR COUNTRIES. SO SHUT UP

  2. I would not trust GW to handle any foriegn affairs.

I think its hard to say who is handling what right. But this I can say , GW has known of this impending situation for quite sometime now. Do not believe that it was just flopped on his desk the other day and he has to scramble to "make the right decisions" the truth is , he and his military advisors were disscussing this scenario when russia was gassing their armored up for the buildups around the georgian border.

So NO i suppose would be the answer. If russia is calling the invasion of a small ,mostly harmless country , Peacekeeping , and then civillian targets are bombed ..............., letting anyone die , and having the ability before hand to stop it ....way before , is wrong

  3. Bush needs to focus on getting troops OUT of Iraq and fixing this country.  He is bankrupting the US and should focus on problems here, NOT there.

  4. Yes, the do nothing approach is all we CAN do. The Georgian's made the mistake of launching a surprise attack, violating their OWN cease fire - a war crime. Now they are going to pay a heavy price.

  5. Listen.  Putin has been aching for a fight with the US ever since his days in the KGB, and even more so now that he's the side throned Prince of Russia.  There comes a point in life when you realize that you dont back down, and with Putin, to do so is a sign of weakness.  Secondly, he clearly is using Georgia to attempt to draw us in, and lastly, he is doing so because he is furious that we would want to install missiles on his border.

This is WHY there should be missiles on his border.  Exactly why.

  6. Until Georgia asks for help, the US can only condemn the actions of Russia.

  7. I've been wondering what Geo. Bush handles properly at all!!

  8. NO, needs to be more active.

    RUSSIA is a PROVOCATIVE AGGRESSOR

It started with Ossetian Provocations on the de facto borders. However, After little shootouts Georgia declared unilateral cease fire. It lasted several hours but Ossetian separatists - or let me say the ones that did not wish to stop - continued shooting and taking "lives of Georgian villagers".

Georgia was alarmed and decided to "restore constitutional order" in the region or maybe they meant over the ones that did not stop shooting. Anyhow, that is what Russians waited for so long and decided to "make them pay" (Vladimir Putin) for what they did. (what they did on their OWN sovereign territory.)

It was easy for them to mobilize troops because they have been stationed near the borders for WEEKS.http://mnweekly.ru/news/20080718/5533837...

prompting Georgia to think it was a well pre planned provocation. and that is what I think. Russia does not want Georgia to enter NATO. Russia does not want stable Georgia. I am sure they will find something with Ukraine too. Things like pro Russian region Crimea in Ukraine and so on and so forth to mount tensions and Black mail them. Very aggressive. War criminals !

Days of sleepless nights and hundreds of Reliable news sources.

P.S. NEVER LISTEN TO RUSSIAN SOURCE ; such as russiatoday.ru and etc. Propaganda machine.

  9. Bush is too scared.

  10. i feel we need to stay out of other peoples business and worry about our country .. that is where we end up in so much trouble . And so many of our people die. fighting for other countries. they dont like us and dont want us there . so why do we go there . to die. bush wouldnt go fight this stuff. but he will send our family to . and so much of it is based on lies. And wasting american dollars .

  11. Bush needs to shut his lying *** mouth before he gets us involved in a war with Russia, and no matter what you read or think about Russia, they are far advanced in many ways militarily than we are. They will destroy us in an even and fair fight. They are just way too powerful for us to tangle with.. Russia is a far more honorable country than the USA is.

  12. "GEORGIA KNOWS RUSSIA FOR MORE THAN 15 CENTURIES AND THEY ARE NOT HONOURABLE!"

You might want to learn more about the history of relations between Russia and Georgia. The relations go back several centuries. As a matter of fact, Georgia would not be on the map today (as a country) if it was not for Russian help. Georgia was in exactly the same situation as Osetia is today.

  13. Of course it is. President Bush always wants whats best! He is doing exactly what he should be doing.

  14. This Georgian Russian issue is not only Georgian issue, its interational. Every country should be involved.

  15. these people criticizing bush are complete idiots, dont listen to them.  I personally believe bush could do better, but is handling it well at the moment..there really isnt much we can do unless russia tries to take over georgia.  I honestly hope that if russia tries to push things too far, though, the U.S. will make a nice swift move and put them in their place.  The only reason we are nice to russia is because they have resources we want, and are one of the few countries that could put up a good fight against us.

  16. I think many people can see through this.  What a convenient time for this to happen to... right near election time.  Since Georgia started this whole mess, and it is an ally of the US (nothing wrong with that), any person with little bit of common sense would know that the US administration is behind it for political gain.  Nothing wrong with the US having allies and I am thankful the UK and the US are allies.  I believe in living in freedom and democracy but it just seems as if something sinister has crept into the white house this past decade and want to paint a menacing look.

  17. Georgie just better watch what he does cuz Russia is already mad at us about the missile defense thing.   Putin is a hard nosed dude.

  18. Russia has my backing. Bush can l**k a s*****m.

Enough of supporting known terrorist nations like Georgia.

  19. not just by talking

  20. First off Georgia is at total fault here. Russia is invading georgia because the north and south voted in a democratic vote overwhelmingly to leave and join back with russia. Overwhelmingly voted. We can't let them leave and lose a strategic foothold on the continent, no matter how many children, and elderly die. Which is what the georgians are targeting by the way, not so much the troops. We are sanctioning a wholesale slaughter of civilians just like Iraq, and any other place we "help". Heck even Iraq wants a time-line of troop withdrawal, which by right is their right, and we still keep refusing till we can have a permanent base there. I've looked at all the local and cable news and they keep saying Russia started this conflict. The american media is all wrong, and reversed. Makes you really wonder if the media is censored by our government, because it is so far the wrong way. I just don't get it. Is everyone sleeping?

  21. George Bush can not handle well his going to the restroom.  Let alone the situation between Georgia and Russia.  Besides, those are two foreign countries and it is none of his business.  The problem is he does not know it.  Hopefully, he will be leaving soon but I am still concerned about the damage he can still do to this country.

When he left Texas I was happy because I did not think he could do much damage in Washington.  How wrong I was!!!

  22. Do you think he handled Katrina properly.

HAHAHA. No, seriously I am guessing he's happy that he's out of office next year. There is nothing we can do about it. That side of the world is Russia's and China's. And they are pretty good friends.

Now we must hope that the Mexicans are ready to assimilate with us instead of calling them lazy bums and pushing them away.

  23. Can you give me "ONE" good example of "ONE" good thing that this prezident has done in his entire POLITICAL life?....How about in his entire ADULT life?

  24. Maybe we should be asking shouldn't NATO being doing more since we gave Georgia a path to membership in NATO. Until Georgia ask for help GW can't do much but I think GW should probably be working closer with NATO to prepare to militarily back-up Georgia. If Russia wants a fight let it begin here.

  25. P. Bush is doing what he must do! Russia doesn't give a *** about its citizen on S osetia? they attacked Georgia to provoke US,good that Bush is calm! in a meantime whole nations blame Russians..
