  1. I'm sure that president Bush and other republicans are hard at work on how to APPEAR to be working hard to help.

And since the national Guard has already been sent - I'm sure Bush won't be demanding that the states turn over control to the federal Government before they can have help

    - like he is on record as doing in both Mississippi and Louisiana after Katrina.

  2. YES.BECAUSE MAYOR NAGIN STOPPED SMOKING THE CRACK A LITTLE EARLIER THIS TIME AND GOT THINGS ROLLING EARLIER WITH A CALL TO THE PRESIDENT.HE DIDNT WAIT TILL IT WAS TOO LATE AND THEN START CRYING LIKE A LITTLE GIRL WHO LOST HER MOMMY.

  3. He didn't do a bad job the first time!  That would be like asking Bill Clinton if he would have done a better job with national security during his presidency.  Would we have not had problems on 9-11 ?

  4. You don't watch the news much do you? They evacuted the town. Whoever decides to stay gets what they deserve.

  5. Now that Louisisans has a Republican Governor, Bobby Jindahl, do you think the response will be better. Will he get credit if it is? Will G.W. Bush?

  6. each state has a set of rules to follow before government can help.lets hope since  they elected a competent governor it will be okay.ps .this wasn't the fault of bush.this was the fault of state government!

  7. With little georgie bush it's anyone's guess.  I really do not think anyone could have done any worse, but then with his track record I would not bet any money on it.

  8. I don't how it is conceivably possible he could do any worse; but then we are talking about Jerk W. Bush, he'll probably show us.

  9. Bush gets a test retake on New Orleans.  First, lets get out everyone in its parth out of New Oreans to miniumize deaths and injuries.  People caught statying behind and looting should be charged with felonies in thier records.   The thing I fear is some small minority of criminals staying behind and then going on a looting rampage.  Time to fuel up before fuel is 5 dollars a gallon

  10. As it did last time, it depends on the local leadership of New Orleans.  The Feds can't just rush in without permission.

  11. He won't need to do much, because the republican governor of Louisiana is doing his job, which incidentally the job the democratic governor failed to do during and after Katrina.

  12. nope, i dont think bush will do any better than he did during Katrina, just my opinion thow.

  13. Don't you mean "Do you think Louisiana's governor will do a better job?"

Louisiana's governor, Bobby Jindal, has prepared the people and has ordered massive evacuation several days in advance. This time, people are actually listening.

We should all pray Gustav makes a U-turn and totally bypasses NO.

  14. Yes.

The real question is -- will mayor Nagin to a better job in New Orleans this time? That is where the real responsibility lies.

  15. Bush had nothing to do with it. Notice this time there is a Republican Gov who is taking action vs. last time a Dem Gov sat on her hands a did nothing. Oh and don't forget Nagin's flooded buses.

  16. the time to act was before the hurricane last time

The dem gov and dem mayor failed

Lucky for the residents of the state republican Bobby Jindal is doing his job.

  17. He did a great job the last time, It wasn't his fault that the people there acted like retards.

  18. it's up to the local government first. the local government seems to be responding 100% better, and the people living down their are heeding the advice of the mayor, governor, etc. That's where the problem started with Katrina. It's hard for the federal government to clean up such a huge mess as was the case with Katrina, when you have the local government sitting on their hands and people refusing to leave their homes.
