  1. i dont think he,s got a cat in h***s chance of being king full stop, the mans a twit

  2. the church of england will remain whether prince charles becomes king or not...i hope he never does become king as i feel he is too weak and out of touch...his son will do a better job and unite this country

  3. Who cares about prince charles, or England or Church for that matter. I only care about the teachings in schools.

  4. The Church of England is the officially established Christian church in England, and is the "mother" of the worldwide Anglican Communion, the oldest among its nearly forty independent national churches. The Church of England considers itself to stand both in a reformed tradition and in a catholic one.

King Henry VIII separated its English church from Rome in 1534 and declared himself Supreme Head of the Church of England, a title that is still being held today by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. Although she is Supreme Governor of the Church of England (female equivalent of Supreme Head of the Church of England), it is still a title held by a female British Monarch that signifies her titular leadership over the Church of England. Even though the monarch's authority over the Church of England is not strong, her position is still very relevant to the church and is mostly observed in a symbolic capacity.

The Supreme Head of the Church of England was a title held by the King Henry VIII of England that signified his leadership over the Church of England and it is a title that all future British monarch will inherit at the time of their coronations.

  5. Yes.

  6. Yes, he will become the head of The Church of England, but it has been mentioned that the Prince of Wales wants to be known as "Defender of the Faiths" to include more religions.Perhaps he'll make some changes, but I don't think he'll want to make too many changes that may upset too many people. The Church of England is so tied up with the history of England, that I can't see it not being the official religion!

  7. I think that the Church of England will continue as it has done in the past no matter who is King.

RE will continue to be taught in schools exactly as it always has been.

  8. As Monarch he has the role of being the head of the Church of England.  I do not think he would be so "bold" as to try to abolish it.

  9. He will have no choice. The reigning monarch of the United Kingdom is the Head of the Church of England.

To change this would require a great upheaval in the politics of this country, and despite all their laws and regulations of the last ten years, I very much doubt that even New Labour could accomplish that !

The teaching of RE in schools will no doubt continue in its present, haphazard form.

  10. If he becomes King then he will head the Church of England.

  11. Since Henry 8th broke from the Roman church the British Monarch has always been the head of the "Church of England' his other title was 'Defender of the faith' and honorific given by the then Bishop of Rome (Pope) and has never been revoked .. therefore Charles III will be Head of the church and as a result of a dictate of John Paul 23rd he will retain the title of 'defender of the faith' although there was a move afoot several years ago to change that to 'Defender of faiths' hoping to include other religious denominations, this did not take place since the title is only give, altered or removed by Papal powers

  12. The establishment does not change quickly.

Prince Charles will remain as head of the established Church of England when and if he becomes King.

  13. It doesn't matter who is King or Queen as they cannot touch the Church. They are Head of State in name only and do not have any official capabilities anymore. The only place which could affect he religion is Parliament . So to answer your question, RE will continue on the schools syllabus.
