Do you think Rage Against the Machine's songs get old fast soon?

I was surprised when my friend said that. I mean, thinking about it, it makes sense. Do you feel that way?

No I dont beleive they get old fast, if thats what you mean cant quite understand there, but the songs they have are all very cool and i can listen to them a lot and have for a long time.

Rage Against The Machine have been a very popular band because "musically" they are very talented. On the flipside, their songwriter (lyrically), Zach De La Rocha, is very politically active and it shows in his lyrics. The masses listen to this band, as they don't know any better (as far as reading into the lyrics), and they just hear the music, hence their rise to fame (very talented musicians). So in those regards, I think Rage Against the Machine went by the wayside, as eventually, you had a band implode. You had musicians vs. this rebel without a cause. I guess the simple answer may be, musically, no, the bands tunes still stand the test of time, lyrically, the band is probably more known as rebels without a cause.

What?  Old fast soon?  I dont believe that really makes sense.  Do they get old soon?

Anyways, many of them sound alike, so if you are more into listening to music from a instrumental aspect, then yes I could see that.  If you listen to music because you care what the artist has to say, then no they dont all sound alike.  Perhaps your friend thinks they get old too soon, because he/she thinks they sound similar.

I think they're repetitive, but catchy.  They can get old if you only listen to them all the time, but I could listen to them maybe once a month or two, and still enjoy their stuff.

That thought is blasphemous, personally I have listened to Rage since they came out and they are still great. Great Band!!!

h**l no.  Every time I hear one I get pumped up and I want to break something. Go put on "Testify" right now and tell me you don't want to put a chair through the wall.  Have you ever seen them live? Besides Foo Fighters, they are the best show I've ever seen.

i hate it when people say that!!! hahaha LOL jk jk i'm a pretty big fan of rage can ya tell?

okay i can tell where people are coming from but I take it this way.. they are passionate musicians and i truly think each member really wants change in this world and the only way they know how is through their music. Lyrically they are one of thee most political bands imo. I personally believe in their general idea but of course i too have my own opinions when it comes to different things. No matter what your beliefs are you gotta give some respect to em for taking a stand for social justice. I understand that some songs do get repetitive but i really do love it :)
