Drafted in the 5th round out of high school, Middlebrooks is currently on the Lowell Spinners. How long do you think it will be until he is in the majors?

  1. Who?

  2. We'll slowly work him up, but just about all of our young guys come through. Think of Pedroia and Lester. Those 2 are absolutely phenomenal.  Lester's been up for some time now but he was out for a while with cancer. Pedroia is successful left and right.  We have Lowrie to step up for Lugo and Masterson to take Hanson's place in the bullpen.  Buchholtz came up and threw a no-hitter in his 2nd start (I was there) If we work him up slowly he'll be amazing by the time he gets to the Red Sox.  Michael Bowden has been flying through our farm system successfully and is with Pawtucket right now, so we'll do the same thing with Will that we did with Mike.

  3. I would give him a couple more years for him to work on his fastball then bring him to AAA ball and go on from there
