  1. yes , but so many vote based on soft fuzzy feelings they get. He should be the lead advisor to the future president.

  2. My gump dog catcher would of been better than McSame and his VP Miss Goody Two Shoes.

  3. No, I do not.  I am not sure if either McCain or Obama is the best man for the job, but Ron Paul surely is not.

My senior class is studying the Constitution and my students have already found several mistakes that Ron Paul made on his campaign promises.  If his supporters would actually read the Constitution, instead of his interpretation of it, they would see that his platform does not match with the Constitution.

    >If Ron Paul were the strict constructionist that he claims to be, he would support all aspects of the Constitution, not just the parts he agrees with.

In addition, as the power of taxation rests with Congress, Ron Paul would have little influence as president in repealing the income tax.

The problem with Ron Paul is that he promises things that he can not deliver on.  Either he does not know that (making him an idiot) or he does but is attempting the hoodwink the people of this nation.

BTW. My cousin lives in Ron Paul's district in Texas; Ron Paul loves government pork for his district, as it gets him votes.  Ron Paul does not practice what he preaches.

  4. Ron Paul was heads above the rest.   The reason for the losses were media exclusion, slander and manipulation.   First of all, he was as close to a constitutionaly sound individual as you could get out of the field of candidates.   That should interest ALL of you.    Second, he is a very well veresed individual in the matters of economy.  He follows the Austrian School of economics.   This is a sound money, free market style of economy, sometimes called anarcho-capitalism.   It gets its name from where it was founded and has been extremely successful.   Third, for all of you who are against the war, a candidate who holds the founding father's belief of noninterventionism (not the same as isolationism) would have been perfect for you.   He also belived in limited federal government which is how our representative republic is supposed to be run and more for the rights of states.   The federal government was put in place to safeguard our rights and deal with matters of war, not to legislate how we should live our lives.

Some of the answers so far are parroted MSM garbage played out over and over.    Ron Paul was a threat to "business as usual" government and therefore had to be silenced.

  5. No, simple as that next question

  6. Ron Paul is one of very few people who could manage to lose more than 48 states.

  7. Policy-wise, yes.  Personality-wise, no.  Ron Paul has a great message, but he doesn't deliver it in a way that most mainstream Americans can take it in.

  8. Of course.

He'd actually make a GOOD candidate.

Witchita- Ron Paul votes against the spending but if authorized wants Congress, not the President to spend it, and as long as his constitutuents are taxed, will try to get money authorized back to his district.  That is completely consistent with his views.  Less SPENDING not less Congressional control of what spending there is.  Limit the executive, not congress.  And he never said he'd have all power, just what he would work towards.  And he supports all parts of the constitution, maybe not things YOU wish were in the constitutution while ignoring the 10th Amendment.

We do our research BEFORE we become supporters.

  9. witchata how does ron paul not follow article 1 section 8?  just because the government has the power to lay taxes doesnt mean it has to... i fail to see your point.  please explain?  and you feel that since he opposes the 16th amendment he doesnt support the constitution?  so anyone who opposes anything with the constitution doesnt support it?  it does say in the constitution that it can be changed, which he wants to do about the 16th amendment

and yes ron paul was the best candidate because he understands the simple fact, government doesnt work!

  10. As much as I don't like Paul or McCain.  Yes I do think that Paul would have made better judgments than McCain.  His VP pick today is evidence of his bad judgment.  It will cost him in November.
