With Russias wealth increasing by the sale of it's oil and gas and the almost death wish attitude of the Iranian leader for an all out war with Israel and the U.S.A and the friendships they have with Syria and North Korea do you think that these countries have agreed a pact to support each other in a confrontation with the west, namely The U.S.A and Great Britain to destroy our lands and then take over Europe and the Middle East?

  1. No.

  2. Wow, you have a wider lens than I. It is possible, actually very possible. I need to look more into this. Thanks!

  3. Firstly, there are some problems with the scenario you've presented. While Russia's actions have indeed raised the price of oil even further, the Russian objective isn't to raise the price of oil, but to lower it for themselves. The separatist regions of Georgia, particularly Abkhazi, which borders a large portion of the Black Sea, are prime locations for oil drilling (and in the case of Abkhazi, off-shore drilling). By securing these regions, Russia has secured itself a decent flow of inexpensive crude oil. While Iran does hate Israel, the president (who, despite everything, was genuinely democratically elected by his people) is not going to use nuclear weapons. To strike Israel at any point with a nuclear weapon would not only poison the land the Palestinians wish to return to, but the fall out would affect the adjacent Arab countries of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. In addition, both Syria (a secular country) and Iran (governed largely by Shiites) would be reluctant at best to form an alliance with North Korea. These countries contain highly religious populations (of both Muslims and Christians, in Syria's case) who would riot if their governments made official alliances with an Atheist Communist state. North Korea on its own has enough internal problems to deal with before they would even consider attacking the West.

A common misconception about these countries that they are antagonistic to the West (or in Syria's case, merely uncooperative) because they wish to see the West destroyed. This isn't quite true. These countries are hostile not because they want the West gone, but because they don't want the West interfering in their business. Keep in mind that many of these countries have only been free from Western colonization for sixty years, and none of these countries (with the obvious exception of Russia, which wasn't colonized) want to be controlled by the West ever again. Additionally, there is still some resentment from these countries about being colonized in the first place, leading these countries to be openly hostile, which is interpreted by the West as evidence that these countries simply want the US wiped of the face of the earth.

Additionally, these countries often come across as overly hostile because of their aversion to Westernization and Globalization. These countries (especially Syria and Iran) have a value system holding family, religion, and honor as the foundation of civilized society. They feel that the West will impose a different value system on them, and so they vehemently resist Western culture. To a Westerner, makes them seem atavistic and backward, adding onto the belief that the so-called "Axis of Evil" is a collection of misanthropic barbarians and fanatics set on the destruction of the Western world.

  4. c**p.

  5. No but I do think Bush et al has been engineering the recent shenanigans. It has his signature written all over it.

  6. no, all of these counties has an amount of its own people living in america.

plus, there not gonna risk their land, their people, and everything else, to attack america for a stupid dislike reason.

  7. I believe that God is still in charge of our Word and the Universe. and trust Him, to protect us from evil.

  8. Though they are individually antagonistic towards the West I don't believe there is any overt pact to directly attack the West. We are to strong and could dish out infinitely more pain than they could give. I think they will persist with these "minor" confrontations like the one in Georgia and hope to kill the West by means of a "thousand paper cuts."

  9. no, but i think George bush and israel are planing to attack and tack over the east!
