Do you think Ryan Theriot is the most underrated baseball player in the Majors?

Question

Ryan Theriot leads the majors in multi-hit games and is fourth in the national league in batting average. If his defense improves a little bit...do you all think he can make the all-star game next year? By far...he is very underrated on the Cubs.

I agree with Winston H. He's underrated, but not the most underrated. Ryan Theriot is a great player! He's probably one of the most underrated on the Cubs, but not in the majors. I think its possible he could make it (all star game), if he keeps doing his best and giving it is all! =]

I agree that Ryan Theriot is an underrated player but there are more players more deserving of the title of "most underrated player" such as Matt Cain, Chad Billingsley, Adrian Gonzalez and so on.

He gets on base for the big boppers in the line up and gets many hits. So yes I would have to say he is very underrated just not the most.

CubsBearsBulls... - I think Ian Kinsler is because he is putting up MVP type numbers, yet he isnt even the most talked about player on his team *cough Josh Hamilton*  and when do you ever even here his name on SportsCenter or Baseball Tonight    and He was voted in by the players not the fans.

Winston, how is Ian Kinsler underrated?  He made the All-Star team, so it seems to me he's pretty well known.  Underrated to me means that not many people outside of the team he plays for fans, not many people are aware of the guy.  I do think Theriot is the most underrated player in baseball, and if he can put up similar numbers next season I think he has a very god chance to make the All-Star team.  The only thing that I can see keeping him out are a few guys by the name of Hanley Ramirez, Jimmy Rollins and Jose Reyes.

Nope. Adrian Gonzalez is the most underrated. Theriot is definitely underrated though.

eljok3r_x13 is an idiot. Ryan is underrated. But I think that Brian McCann and Michael Young and Ian Kinsler are all more underrated. And as far as Adrian Gonzalez is concerned. He has better numbers than none of the guys you listed. Especially Chipper.

I think he is underrated but out of the whole majors... no. But theriot has a great batting average and is a key role in the cubs offence.

nope he pretty much sucks i think adrian gonzalez from the padres is the most uderated player in the bigs and id say he is one of the top five best players and doesent get recognition he has better number then pujols a-rod manny ramirez prince fielder derek lee jason giambi chiper jones and basically everybodyexcept for maybe ryan howard but adrian is more consistent
