read this article and give your opinion. Personally, I think he's taking a gamble with his life. Cancer is cancer and its deadly. I understand that he wants to compete in the olympics and all, but I believe your health is first and foremost.

  2. It depends, but probably he is not making a mistake.  Testicular cancer does not metastisize easily do to ehem, the location being farther away from the body.  It has a very good success rate, and he is a healthy athlete.  When Lance Armstrong got testicular cancer, I have read that he knew something was very wrong from all the blood vomiting, and in the stools.  He let this go for 9 months before being treated.  So yes his metastisized, but very rarely does this happen.  I do believe that health is first and foremost and would be very aggressive if I were to have CA, but alot depends on what kind.  If it is any of the "b" cancer's (blood, brain, breast) that is really tough to beat.  He was dx so close to the Olympics, and I am sure he has been swimming for almost all his life, and this is his life dream.  However if he were my son, I would prefer him to get treated and skip the Olympics

  3. He's not making a mistake,he's making a choice about HIS life.We only have one,one chance to experience this glorious world. It is kind of you to care about him,but he needs you to support his decision.

  4. idk it's putting his life in danger, but on the flip-side, what of it's not so severe, and he misses Olympics for nothing, and never makes it back again.
