Do you think Shawn deserved the Gold?

The commentators all said they were being very harsh on Shawn Johnson's scores. Had they been fair do you think she would have the Gold over Nastia?

China cheated. Nastia I think deserved it but the scores should have been closer between Shawn and Nastia. Shawn will win it next time!

No. Silver is good for Shawn. Nastia was rock solid.

I think they should have given her better scores.  If they had, then the competition would have been closer and Shawn would have had a better chance at the Gold.

The judges were very critical of Shawn's routines, much to the chagrin of the NBC announcers.

In my opinion, I think Shawn is slightly better... I would have given it to Shawn.

No, if they'd been fair they would have given even better marks to Nastia too.  Shawn's a great athlete, I agree, but she had quite a few noticeable slip-ups in all her routines.  Nastia had almost none.

The person who really got a raw deal was Ksenia Semenova, who was kept out of a (deserved) medal slot by inflated scores for the Chinese and overly critical judging of her own routines (at one point the technical committee had to tell the judges the scores they gave her were too low).

I think Shawn Johnson "deserved" it more. However, I believe Nastia performed better today. I do believe the judges were tougher on Shawn, and if she would have gotten bronze I would be a little more angry. However, even if they weren't as tough Nastia still should have taken the gold based on tonight.

they were harsh on her scores, but nastia was better. the way she stuck that landing on the vault and her floor exercise....amazing.
