  1. I don't think so. Purely average Derby winner that will stumble in the Preakness. If he can get throuogh the Prekness though he was bred for a long race like Belmont.

  2. If Street Sense can win the Preakness, I don't see why not.  No other horse passed Hard Spun, which, given the extra distance at Belmont Park, could end up with an even bigger margin of victory than the Derby.  But it all depends on the Preakness.

  3. Yes. The way the jockey worked him up pass the other horses was great !

  4. depends... depends on the horses he will be running against, and it depends on how his owners train him. I use to work at a racing track in California and many of their horses had been in the Kentucky Derby and I think one made it to the Tripe Crown. It depends on how they feed, train and take care of him. If he ran like he did yesterday and put the much effort forth in his training yes he could definatly win.

  5. The Preakness is the deciding factor in this Triple Crown (Shortest of the 3 races). If Street Sense can win the Preakness, I got a good feeling we will have a Triple Crown Winner.

  6. AHH- I'm leaning more toward. AH! i can't remember his name. He was the big black on that everyone liked. I think he was one who won the Derby. Big Daddy?

  7. By the way he ran yesterday, I certainly think he has a good chance.  His jockey, Borel, was really holding him back, and when he finally let him break, he just flew by everyone with shear determination.  He's a great horse who certainly loves his job.  I couldn't decide rather to pick Street Sense or Curlin (look for him again, too). I chose Street Sense and what a great race, he took the track with ease.  It sure would be fun to see him win the Triple Crown, it's been almost 20 years since Affirmed, so I'll keep my fingers crossed and place my bet on him again.

  8. the horse has shown a liking for the Churchill Downs track as evidenced by his BC win by 10 lengths and a widening 2.5 in the Derby, which could have been a tick or two faster had the jockey not taken the occasion to celebrate early...he will have to sit closer on the more speed favoring Pimlico track for the Preakness, as a last to first move is not a profile winner for that surface...I think he has a great shot, I understand he came back well from his derby spin and should also move forward given it was only his third race of the year...distance of the Belmont does not appear to be a problem given his breeding and running style...I say yes

  9. No! I think that Curlin will win the Belmont and Preakness. Srry! But u asked.

I think that Barbaro would've won the Crown last year. I just watched a special on him "Barbaro: A Nation's Horse" it was soooo sad! I'm still teary from it!

But yea, I think we might have one in the next 5 years though, but not this year.

    RIP Barbaro
