  1. I think T20 format is good for cricket. It is exciting, and draws the crowds.

It will affect ODI's more than Tests. ODI's have become stale and predictable. T20 will eventually replace it.

No you will not see the same class of cricket that Tests provide. However, it will improve fielding, it will enhance the bowlers repatoire as he will need to find new ways to economise and take wickets, and batsmen will find more ways to score runs.

T20 is not enough overs for players to show their true class. The will always remain the domain of Test cricket.

    It is more for entertainment.

    .

  2. T20 is very nice in the fact tht the game is short and its thrilling. It will edge a bit over the ODIS cricket due to the emergence of IPL and ICL. But it cannot affect test cricket at anypoint . but it wiil have a great impact among people in the world!!!!!!!!!!

  3. SS.

  4. Do the game of football harm cricket? Do snooker harm billiard? Like that. Test cricket, ODI and T20 are three different games no one harms other.

  5. yeha its good format. people can enjoy cricket by just spending 3 hrs.

The players are profressionals so they know how the play in different type of games so i don't think it will affect oneday or test cricket

  6. it has improved the bank balance of BCCI and impoverished the viewers it must be good if not very good

  7. cricki in any form is gr8...it wont affect test n odi matches...

  8. It is an enjoyment for cricket fans, money for sponsors.  it is fast game. But it may harm regular cricket plays

  9. As it is now, it's not good for cricket. Just look at the injuries sustained by some top players in India. If they could find a few weeks in the year, free from all countries cricket seasons to stage it, maybe it would work out, so long as there was a recovery period at the end of the tournament. But I guess that would be impossible to organize.I also think the auctioning of players should be dropped, it's demeaning to the players. A better way would be to draw the names from a barrell by the team managers or whatever. Then it would be completely random & no-one could complain.

  10. It is all down to opinion really.

If you are looking for a few days of slow, paced action, then test is the way to go.

If you are looking for excitement close to that of a football game, then T20 is a great option.

T20 is my personal favourite. To be honest, test cricket is a cure for insomnia to me =)

But, like everything in the world, it's down to choice.

  11. Look jui nagrecha(intresting) its quite an issue for the cricket fans around...

but if you look deep into it it's simple:

when there were only one dayers we still watched test matches,ie. for all those who watch test cricket entertainment was never a factor they follpw it coz they love the game

Ya as far as one days go, it is a bit of a concern..ODI may just lose it's sting coz T20 is obviously more entertaining and there by has more appeal to those who follow cricket just to entertain themselves

  12. yes for some players ,.. they will be benifited and  for some it will be a disaster~

  13. Not only test cricket provides class, t20 is also very good. it is made for the generation next, like "fast food" cricket.

A playes does not need many overs to show his class, he can do the same performence in 6 balls as well as 60 balls.

It is true, that T20 is more about entertainment but it is platform for youngsters to showcase their talent.

The question shouldnt be t20/ODI/Test ! it should be focused on the fact that we r over doing of cricket.

Cricketers r exhausted after playing for 45 days continously and Lali Modi says he wants IPL to be played 2 times a year but thanks to IIC who has not given permission for IPL twice a year....

  14. its short and sweet ..

boss, who's got time of 5 days to see whole test!!

    moreover .. there r no cheer leaders in test & ODI's !!

    lol ..
