Do you think TV is getting worse?

There is nothing thats good to watch anymore and the good shows are overplayed and I've gotten sick of them. Do you think TV is getting worse? What shows/stations do you watch?

The recent writers strike, and a possible actors strike has Hollywood trying to tighten the budget.  The reality shows are cheap to produce and sadly - get high ratings (We seem to like watching people be humiliated).

A lot of shows are in re-runs right now because they dont want to compete with the Olympics.

But there are some stand-out shows which you may want to catch in re-runs or Netflix the seasons.  These include:

Criminal Minds

House

Bones

How I Met Your Mother

The Big Bang Theory

And some of the Showtime series are very good and available on NetFlix or in season box sets:

Weeds (3 seasons all available in BluRay)

Dexter (Creepy but good)

The L Word

The Tudors (Ok - period costume drama but fun)

COMING UP:

Heros is coming back

The Doll House (Joss Whedons new series)

ER (final season)

So you do have some good things to watch - but you have to dig at it a bit.
