We all criticize him, but he looked great in the first game with 8-11... do you think he'll play well this year with this new roll out style (vick like play) or is he the same old T-Jackson?

  1. He went 8-11, in a preseason game where starters are more concerned about not getting hurt than playing well.

  2. Yea he will have a good season, just because he has a good running game in peterson and good better wideouts this year and a better o-line. he will throw 20 touchdown passes and 10 rushing touchdowns. he'll throw a lot of touchdowns to bernard berrian.

  3. your kinding right? The preseason is just that the preseason. Hes a 4rd string backup on a high school team somewhere

  4. i don't know who this is

  5. T-Jack has a few things going for him.

He has the best running back tandem in the NFL with Taylor and Peterson.  This should open things up for him a little more.

Management made a definite effort to upgrade our receivers.  I believe that Rice will step up and have a big impact and Berrian can actually catch the ball.

He doesn't have to win the game for the team.  He doesn't have to be the hero.  With a decent run defense and a great running game, he only needs to avoid that critical mistake that costs his team the game.  He needs to avoid that costly interception or fumble.

While T-Jack will never be a Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, he may be good enough to get the job done.

The one thing I wish we had done in the off-season, get a better tight end.  It would be yet another weapon for T-Jack to use.

  6. No. Vick style? Vick made the playoffs like once, and the falcons had some good players. Vick was horrible, other than his feet. I would rather have Cordell Stewart than Vick. There is an old adage you can't teach speed. There is also an old adage, you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Tjack just aint got it. There are QBs like Cunningham and Tarkington that are QBs that can run, and there are a ton of guys that can run that they try to make QBs. Jackson is the latter.

  7. He looks like a future star to a lot of people. When will he mature? I think he needs one more year. How tough can his job be, tho, with A.D. around...

  8. I hope so i really do.  I love the Vikings(and the Raiders)

  9. yes i think that Tarvaris will have a good season. He does have the talent to be a good QB and i think he will finally show it this year.

  10. im sick of guys bashing vick on here, vick was the greatest rushing qb ever you idiot. give mike vick a good reciever and see what he can do. tarvaris will be good because he has some lengh with sidney rice at reciever and he has plenty of talent, can throw the ball to adrian out of the back field.  he should lead them to the playoffs baring aaron rodgers season in Green Bay.

  11. I really think he'll be one of those "surprises of the year" type players, we understand it's preseason but nothing makes a poise of a QB different other than the QB himself...I mean he could play highschooler defense and look like he has no poise so last night he showed great poise the one throw I almost thought "Oh no here he goes again" was when he threw it into a double covered receiver I closed my eyes only to end up looking at the Receiver catching it and thought "HOLY SH*T HE HAS ACCURACY!?!?!?!?"..with the Run game look for every pass to be a play action pass

  12. i think he'll be better this year, people forget that he is a young guy and never even played top competition at the college level...it's tough to get adjusted to the nfl especially for a small college player, and the learning curve is big, but people criticized jackson incessantly because an effective quarterback was really the only missing piece for the vikings last year

  13. Prolly i don't criticize him he reminds me a ton of Troy Smith

AND TROY IS AWSOME AND I THINK I SPELLED AUWSOME RONG 2 TIMES OO MAN.

  14. Most defenses will be focusing on AD, so he should have the opportunity to show his stuff.  Don't be surprised when the Vikings sign whoever the Dolphins cut to push Jackson.  It will probably be Josh McCown.
