Do you think Tennessee has a shot in the SEC?

I DON'T THINK THEY DO BECAUSE FLORIDA, LSU, GEORGIA, ALABAMA, ETC WOULD HAVE BEATEN USC. FLORIDA, ALABAMA, AND GEORGIA WOULD'VE EASILY BEATEN UCLA. HOW DO YOU GET 4 TURNOVERS AND GREAT FIELD POSITION AND FAIL TO TAKE ADVANTAGE ON OFFENSIVE. YES, UCLA PLAYED TOUGH DEFENSE BUT THE QUARTERBACK POSITION IS NOW AN ISSUE BECAUSE HE CAN'T PLAY LIKE THAT AGAINST A LSU, BAMA, FLORIDA, ETC. I BELIEVE THAT OTHER SEC TEAMS ARE l*****g THEIR CHOPS AT TENNESSEE AND MAY TRY TO COPY WHAT UCLA DID ON DEFENSE. YOU GOT TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE SEC HAS ALOT OF SPEED AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE VOLUNTEERS ARE IN A LONG RIDE IF THEY CAN'T GET THEIR OFFENSE GOING. UCLA SHOULD HAVE GOT BEAT BADLY DESPITE THEIR PLAY OF THEIR DEFENSE.

I think it would be funny if TN beat FL, Alabama, Georgia, or LSU....because then you would probably come out and say....well every team in the SEC is competitive, and every week is a tough game, blah blah blah....

when it happens, and before you come out and ramble on about SEC play...come back and read this question

I thought last year it'd be Florida or UGA but Tennessee not only wound up in the title game, they almost won it.  It's hard to say, anything can happen.  All the big conferences have their bitter rivalries and all will have upsets this year in conference play.  When the smoke clears, the Vols may be the ones left standing the SEC East.  I don't think that will happen, but it's definitely possible, it happened last year.

While their first game may have been a fluke, you have to realize how bad UCLA really is.  THEY LOST TO NOTRE DAME last year and they have a third string QB.  If I was a Vols fan, I would hope last night was a fluke, because if they play even remotely that bad in the SEC, its going to be an extremely ugly season.  No SEC team would need to 'copy' UCLA's D, its not that good.  SEC defenses are vastly superior, so Tennesse looks like they're in a lot of trouble this year.

But its only the first game, maybe they'll straighten themselves out, but they aren't getting past Georgia or Florida.

Scott said it.  Fulmer's day are numbered.  Anything could happen.  UT should lose 3-4 more games this season.  I like Fulmer but his coaching days are over in 2 years.  Why 2 years?  Because we Tennessee Fans are old sentimental b******s.

I see you feel strongly about the game.... I  agree Tennessee had better not come back and compete for the SEC Title.. I will be embarassed. Because I know UCLA wont win the Pac 10. Tennessee sucks and they showed it bad tonight. I hope they lose every conference game left, because Crompton Sucks bad.......

Of course they have a shot regardless of what happened tonight.. look at last year they only lost 3 games in the SEC, one of which was a very close game (21-14L) with that years national champions, the LSU tigers. So of course they have a shot last year they beat Georgia, Arkansas, South Carolina, and Kentucky. Don't count them out just because of an early season loss.
