  1. No way Jose.

Titanic is like so classic, and Dark Knight is just another movie that has no meaning.

  2. idk cuz tianic is about love and all that c**p and the dark knight is action

  3. No way. I mean Titanic was really something special and is a classic passed down many decades. The acting was phenomenal, as well as the whole movie. The dialogue, screenplay, good plotline, good songs....

The Dark Knight is a movie I have not seen, but the only reason people are all hyped up is because of Ledger's  performance. It was amazing, but other than, was the movie really all that? The movie was probably not half as good as Titanic. I bet if it was a different actor it would not be all that hype . Also, the movie itself and is not as good as Titnaic.

Let us just hope it will not surpass Titanic!

EDIT: People cannot just say a movie is great because of one actor, they have to look at the full picture. A good movie consists of a good plotline, good acting, good effects, good screenplay, good dialogue...etc. Not just the actin, or should I say one person's acting.

EDIT: Heath Ledger's last role is actually in one more film...I forgot the name.

  4. Though not everyone is a fan of Leonardo, dude... that show, titanic, got rave reviews that forces people out of their curiosity checking it out. So called one of the best romantic film ever made(Though I personally thinks Lake House and P.S:I Love You being the better choice). Everyone knows about Batman. He's "everywhere." It's there since your dad's or grand parents era. How many movies? 3? 4? But what's big about this one? Heath Ledger's death? The Crow had Brandon Lee too, but it didn't make that movie big. Not even a collector's item nowadays. You've got big movies like Star Wars' Episode 1-3 and Lord of The Ring Trilogy... Those, they've surpassed beyond Titanic.

  5. Well, it could, and I think there might be a possibility with all the people saying how much they liked it. Although, Titanic was more of a romance..so I'm not sure..

  6. Yes and both are masterpieces but... I'm sorry I have to say this but none of this would have happened if Heath had not passed on. Titanic got to be one of the best just because a great story and wonderful actors and if The Dark Knight surpasses it, well then it is mostly because of the death of a great actor and his last performance. I love them both but I almost hope it doesn't surpass Titanic.

  7. No. Too far away. Especially if youre talking worldwide not just domestic because Titanic made twice as much internationally than it did is the U.S. The Dark Knight made half as much overseas than it did in the U.S. Plus if you add the adjusted amount to Titanic it blows the Dark Knight away. Titanic worldwide: 1.8 billion (.6 domestic 1.2 foreign) Dark Knight worldwide: .8 billion.

  8. It would be nice but i really don't think so. I hope it does, because Heath did an exceptional job playing the joker. Nobody could have done better!

  9. NEVER! lol

  10. Umm Laynee you said , and I quote:

"People cannot just say a movie is great because of one actor, they have to look at the full picture. A good movie consists of a good plotline, good acting, good effects, good screenplay, good dialogue...etc. Not just the actin, or should I say one person's acting."

You really should watch The Dark Knight because I'm 100% sure that anyone who has seen the movie would agree that it has ALL of those things you mentioned and all are top notch.

  11. As much as I think The Dark Knight is the better movie, it won't beat Titanic's box-office haul for a number of reasons. The main one is the length of time Titanic was shown in the cinema compared to how long The Dark Knight will be.

As for Kayleigh; to say that The Dark Knight has only done so well because of Heath Ledger's death is ridiculous.

The movie was hyped for almost a year before his death, there was the matter of people wanting to see if Harvey Dent becomes Two-Face and how it would look, and there was also the hype for Heath's performance as The Joker (death being nothing to do with it).

On a side note, The Joker wasn't Heath's last role either; he is the lead male in Terry Gilliam's next film.

  12. Unfortunately no, but it had a good shot at doing so.

    Why so serious?

  13. No way, Titanic is a classic..The Dark Knight is nothing special.

  14. easy

  15. Well, I think it many cross the 500 million barrier but sinking Titanic is a hard thing to to do, I cannot compare both the movies with each other as they are based upon different themes.

I consider The Dark Knight as an hardcore reality, in the times we live in there are fanatics and psychopaths like Joker who "just want to watch the world burn", a hero who consider that "Either you die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain", a protector which thought there were "no limits" but he realizes there are which creates a difference between good and evil.

Nolan's movie is not just an ordinary "super-hero" movie like Spider man or Hulk ( even Iron man ) it shows you the real world in which you, me and we all live; where people suffer at the hands of such psychotic mass murderers, where good people turn bad because of a tragic death of a loved one. Sometimes, you have to take decisions which are unpopular but they are for the good of your own people.

Well, all the "sane" people who have watched this movie know what it is all about. Titanic was just a romantic flick and a tragic event, The Dark Knight is more complicated than Titanic in terms of the plot.

  16. well the Titanic came out 13 years ago and I read somewhere that the Dark Knight has to have about 900 million tickets sold if that movie wants to catch up with the Titanic, so I don't think so.

    but great movie :D

  17. Indeed!!!
