  1. No, what they are going to do is replace the current Internet with Internet II, which will come with censorship and spyability built in. They will offer it to ISP's as a value added replacement, dirt cheap so everyone will think they just got a great deal.

  2. yes

  3. only if you are in the Peoples Republic of China (Red China).

The FCC has ruled that even Comcast must allow access and not block internet access.

  4. There is a sense by govenment that feels that Internet has too much power.  The internet is a great way to curtail cable media stranglehold on information.   Mostly, older Americans get their "fair and balance" news from the media.  Blogging has raised some eyebrows from special intrest groups and media alike.  Sometimes you might notice an email that comes with a notice that "the government might view this as a form of advertisement."  Theirs already too much control in the internet.  It was a couple of years ago that I pretended to be drunk and typed a bunch of crazy things on the net.  A week or so afterthat their was "substance control login".  Its crazy I've never drank and type (well maybe once).   Its so out of hand that you cannot sometimes read  the (SCI) sober much less drunk.
