  1. I'm afraid the Lakers are "married" to Luke Walton, as he has five years remaining on his mid-level deal. Unless Luke picks up his game over the next couple of seasons, this will rank as one of the worst contracts given to a marginal player. As for Vlad Rad, he has two years left on his contract with an option for a 3rd. I say all this because neither player is coveted around the league, and both are overpaid relative to their contributions to the team last season. Since neither Walton or Radmanovich's contracts will expire anytime soon, logic dictates the Lakers would have to accept an even worse contract in exchange in order to move them.

Of the two, Radmanovich stands the best chance of being dealt, because he is a 3pt shooting specialist of some repute. Obviously, Vlad will have to play well to enhance his value to other teams. Again, LA would probably have to take back a contract of the same or similar length. Mitch will need to get creative, perhaps packaging another player and a future 1st round pick as an incentive to get a deal done. I'm sure he will try his best. Perhaps a buy out can be worked out, but I doubt it. Remember the Lakers had a chance to get out from under Radmanovich's contract when Vlad Rad violated it with his snowboarding incident last year. As for Luke, don't hold your breath.

  2. YES!!

  3. NOOOOO I LOVE LUKE WALTON :(

He might not be the BEST basketball player on the team,

but he contributes and his knowledge of the game really helps out.

I would consider him the "smartest" player on the team,

    basketball wise.

  4. no...they should trade that ballhog named kobe

  5. yes they have horrible contracts especially luke. 5m a year is bs

  6. Yes they need to trade both and here is how.

In this trade the hornets get a guy they really like in luke walton and they get rid of a very unhappy peterson, they also lose ely but they get mihm. The knicks get vlad who should fit perfectly in the run and guna dn the knicks get rid of richardson so what do you think of this deal. Oh by the way the hornets almost got to draft him but the lakers got him back when he was drafted. The hornets like walton for his passing ability.

  7. of course they SHOULD trade them... but the real question is...... CAN they trade them...

the both have horrible contracts that no one wants... they are both decent SF, but no one wants to commit that many years to them... the only way somone would take one of them is if a team is desparate for outside shooting, in which vlade would fit the bill, but still too many years on his contract, in a few years when there are only a couple years left on their contracts then they will be able to move them..... but the lakers made long term committments to these two guys and unfortunately they will have to stay true to their word...... and the contracts.... because that is the only option......

  8. Yeah they Better trade them.

  9. the answer is no mainly because the lakers cannot get any players of any worth for these players. and they fit in somewhat. luke can come in and play pretty solid, ie-he rebounds and is a good passer, and can hit a shot once in a blue moon. its when he jacks up a lot of shots that he tends to play horrible. as for vlad rad he is of somewhat of value to the lakers,...well atleast when he hits his shots, because that is his main task for them is to hit 3's. the fewer the games he goes 1 for 5 from the field the more hes improved. he needs to be averaging 10 to 12 a game.

  10. absolutely yes
