Although he is becoming outspoken like Stewart, he ain't there just yet. Denny's going through a rough patch, besides he's becoming his own. He'll tell them like he sees them.

I like Denny, but every part of me wants to throw a rock at him just to see if he carries bricks around to throw back at me.

He is getting a bit more "opinionated"

Tony's a great mentor. Not sure if I'd put Denny in the same category as Smoke just yet though.

He is starting to sound a little like Tony but I think denny's got enough of his own attitude he doesn't need help from Tony LOL

I think it's the frustration of the heat of the moment. I'm sure if he had it to do all over again...he wouldn't have said what he said. But thru the years many drivers have made similar comments about their team. Sure there was "heck" to pay on Monday for those comments....but in the end I honestly feel it makes a team stronger. The team sees just how passionate their driver is about winning....the driver sees just how passionate the crew is about the cars they build. Just an opinion of course.....Stinky I hardly recognize you!

If so I think it's cool because now you have a whole team of drivers who tell it like it is. Well, maybe not like it is, but how they see it, and it's pretty entertaining to watch. That comment wasn't a good one at all, but it was more entertaining than most post race interviews. But, in 1999 when Tony Stewart first started in Cup he was one of my favorite drivers, and since then it's kind of went the other way. Not sure why, it may have been his opinion. Now I'm coming back around to him a little. I still respect the fact that he's outspoken and tells it like he see's it, though. I'm sure Denny will learn as he gets older, though. He was just speaking out of frustration.

No, he is just sounding like Denny.  I do Not think Tony's attitude has rubbed off on Denny at all.  I think Denny is jealous of how well Kyle Busch is doing this season and I think when Denny does poorly he gets mad and jealous and that is what sparks his attitude and harsh remarks about his cars, teams, ....
