  1. tony will leave gibbs

  2. Well let see Tony"o" wins,Gordon "o" wins ,Junior "o" wins.

It's still early and Tony runs better later in the year.Tony will honor his contract.

  3. Tony Always does better toward the end of this season. He is a awesome driver.I my self am not found of Kyle. Tony is not looking for a way out of Gibbs he is weighing his decision on whats best in the future for him.

  4. Tony is good,

He knows that what goes around, comes around,

Joe is smart enuff to keep the cream,

Any Tony will go/start what ever he wants to......

He has EARNED that right !

Coupla NA$CAR Cup championships, and a LOT of wins in whatever they wanna call the INDY cars this week.

(not puttin' 'em down, just kinda late, n tired?)

  5. Actually it's kinda early for Smoke right now, he historically doesn't start getting hot until July. And Kyle and Denny will start slumping eventually.

  6. I agree with the other posters, Tony always starts winning mid season. Hamlin and Kyle could NEVER compare to Tony. Tony will always be better then them. Kyle could never be better then tony. Just because of a few wins doesn't make Kyle a better driver. You people who think he's so great are really living in a fantasy land! Kyle is wreckless and dangerous, eventually he's going to get punched in the face just like his brother. Only reason why there's anyone who even likes kyle right now is because he is hot. Once he starts losing and he goes through a rough spot no one will be talking about him. Drivers like Tony, Jr, Gordon, and Johnson have loyal fans who stick with them no matter what! No one even talked about this kid when he was at hendricks!

  7. i'm not only a die-hard kyle busch fan, but i'm also a fan of tony's "nemesis" kurt, and have been for as long as they've all been racing together. but i've really grown to respect tony, his talent, his outspokenness, his generosity off the track, and his love of racing, as have many, and believe that he is still the core of this team.  listen to the interviews of any of the gibbs guys and they all seem truly glad to be teammates, no matter who is winning. the addition of kyle, the return of joe gibbs, and the switch to toyota - where they are now a manufacturer's #1 team - have all come together to push this team up there with the hendrick's, the childress's, and the roush's of the world.

just think of the problems tony had first with kyle last year (atlanta, while kyle was still with HMS) and later with hamlin, his gibbs teammate. both kyle and denny talk about how tony's "talks" with them helped. and you know good and well kyle wouldn't be at gibbs without tony's blessing.

he may not have any wins yet in the cup series this year, but he's definitely got more than "nothing."  he's got 4 top-fives, 6 top-tens, and only finished outside the top-fifteen twice - both wrecks (vegas and talladega).  and he currently sits eighth in the points.

as for anyone who questions the veracity of the "tony gets hot as the weather gets hot" just check out his record on racing-reference.info sometime.  in 10 years of racing and 32 wins, only 2 have come in the first 10 races of the year.  over the years, he has had 4 wins in the first third of the season, 18 in the 2nd third, and 10 in the final third.

and don't overlook his nationwide series success this year - the man has won four of the six races he's entered, including daytona, talladega, and darlington (the last two where he's NEVER had a win).

finally, i don't think tony has so little self-esteem to consider himself any "less than" anyone else no matter where he is. if tony ever does leave gibbs, it will be on his own terms, and because he is looking out for his own future (or retiring) - not because of a supposed "inferiority complex."  tony may be many things, but a shrinking violet is not one of them.

    that's my $0.02 (plus some)

  8. well most NASCAR fans know that tony stewart never wins early on he never won a race in february, he one like one race in march and i think two or three in april he doesnt really get into his groove until june and july then you should see a string of wins from him

  9. I think it's Tony Stewarts turn to try the "checkers or wreckers" attitude, before some kid trys making him look out of style. If you know what I mean. Also I've noticed Tony isn't honest with his answers in his interviews and comments. He trys too hard to humble himself and tell the people what is socially correct. But he's not very good at fooling people. And that thing about Tony gets better towards the end of the season is the funniest excuse for not winning i've ever heard, and he has all of you guys believing that to the point where you quote that phrase. Unbeleivable.

  10. tony already said he might be leaving, but it aint cause kyle is winning, like the other people said, tony dont start winning to mid season, and when he does you better watch out,he wins them back to back, tony has won won 4 nationwide races this season, and its only a matter of time before he wins the sprint cup races,i have to take up fot this man, because you dont even know what you r talking about!!!!!!!!
