  1. I think Tsonga is a one slam wonder and that Australia was his first and last hurrah. He gets injured too often and does not have the mental strength to be a Grand Slam champion under current circumstances. In the past, there were no name individuals winning the French and Australian if the big names got upset. But with the big 3 today (who are on a different plane than the rest), it is very unlikely that all 3 will lose prior to the final. Which means, you have to beat Federer, Nadal and/or Djokovic in a best-of-five format to win a slam. That is a tall order for Tsonga and other tennis players who are good but not great. .

  2. if he can focus much, i guess he is good for AT LEAST a round of 16 finish.

  3. I think that if he is well rested and at a 100 percent he could at least make it to the quarters or semis.

  4. I doubt it.  He's just another hot-shot who made it big once but will never reach that level again.  He is like Bhagdatis....reached finals once, never again.  I see the same future for Ernest Gulbis as well actually.  They're hot for one season and fizzle out for the rest of their career.  We'll see of course.  It is the hard court so it would suit their game much better than Nadal.  Federer is good on hard court too but so many of the new ones can out-hit him these days.

  5. nah he is a 1 hit wonder, he gets injured and doesnt have consistency!

  6. oh I would love it if he did!! He's been kind of on the down low since the Aussie Open so  if he's been working on his stuff (fitness, attitude, shots) I don't see any reason he won't take the whole thing! Oh, that would be great! It always makes me smile to see him hop around the court after a win, pumping his fists in the air! lol

  7. I doubt it..i predict quarter or semis for him at best.

  8. quite possibly... but i would lean more towards novak dovick..

Tsonga is decent.. but that performance was more similar to what marion bartoli at last years wimbledon.. did, causing big upsets in the draw...

Could have been a one time thing

  9. no

  10. Who is Tsonga? Oh! the runner=up in the Aussie Open... Yes, he'll make a break through, but not a major one... he did that already Down Under... let's give a change for others to make a breakthrough also... just to be fair, right?
