boxers made millions while UFC fighters only get 250 thousand a win, and thats only top stars? now if they lose they get 10 thousand. should UFC fighters get better medical benefits from the UFC foundation as well?

UFC make 45 million on payperview alone, and that does not include the tickets they sold live, couldnt they get aleast 1 million per fight out of the deal? its the fighters that make the show not the show that makes the fighters?

fighters are short lived, the trainers they hirer, the bills they have to pay, as a normal person. now a normal MMA fighter has alot of trainers, a grappling training, wrestling trainer, boxing trainer, the list goes on.

im guessing they pay this trainers atleast 75 bucks an hour, cause i pay my weight lifting trainer 25 bucks for only an hour! and thats just weight lifting.

as any athlete, fighters are short lived, and they need their retirement money.

sorry about grammer im not here to right an essay i just want your oppinon.

  1. They do get a portion (i'm sure small, but what do we know) of the PPV money.  Not to mention they get paid the money to fight, plus bonuses. Then there is sponsorship money.  Then money from opportunities to endorse products and stuff.  These guys arent struggling by any stretch.

Also, you must keep in mind, UFC is still paying to have their shows broadcast (30-40% of the PPV revenue), for the arenas, commercials etc., as opposed to boxing where HBO pays for the production of it, they are pretty much given where to fight, HBO has its own PPV company.  This does cost a lot of money, so its not like UFC is just swimming in cash and not properly paying the people that are making it for them.

And lets dont forget that they are getting paid a ton more money than they were even 5 years ago.

  2. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. They are definitely under paid. That was one of Tito Ortiz's main arguments.

  4. FACT:  Since "The Ultimate Fighter" Season 1 debuted 3 years ago, UFC salaries have risen 1000% and are continuing to rise.

The guys that draw the bigger PPV buys get paid more.  Chuck Liddell gets paid more than Randy Couture because the UFC gets more PPV buys for Chuck than they do for Randy.

The UFC was losing money for quite some time.  Things are getting better, we just need patience, the fighters will get theirs.

  5. Well its like this, when chuck loss to jackson he got 500,000, jackson got 265,000 with his knockout bonus , it matters on longevity with the company overall performance and to some extent popularity. And for affliction Tim sylvia got 800,000,while fedor got 300,000 that one didn't really make sense to me.While Andrei got 1,000,000 750 pplus 250 bonus so it all dependes also anderson gets like 300,000 every match.

  6. Fedor gets 1.3 mil. just for showing up at M-1 events thats why he only got the 300k for the Sylvia fight, Fedor's gettin his.

  7. Yes I think celebrities should be paid waay less than athletes. There should be a celebrity tax , those fckers have it waaaaay to sweet. But yeah I mean mma is the fastest growing sport , you are putting your well being on the line , you should get a reasonable amount of cash thrown your way.

  8. Its up to the fighters to get money from sponsors. you seriously want each figter to get a million per fight? Thats insane, youd have guys taken dives just for the $$$. I like the way they run it now, where fighters get bonuses for good performance.

  9. i think so too although i despise tito, he was right. And i wonder why Tim Silva and Andre Arlovski left for that other pay per view event? could be for the same reasons.I like Dana White but the fighters should get more for what they go through. After all, there would be no UFC without them

  10. for sure
