Do you think Usain Bolt will break Michael Johnson's 200m world record?

Usain Bolt broke the 100m world record with a fantastic time of 9.69 when he didn't even try for all of the race, and there was also no wind. Do you think that he will break Michael Johnson's record of 19.32 in the 200m, a record that no one has ever threatened? Tyson g*y has run the second fastest 200m ever, but he only got 19.62, which is 0.3 seconds slower, and in a distance this short this shows how great Michael Johnson's run was. Even though Usain Bolt is definitely the fastest in the 100m, and that actually the 200m is his best event, I don't think that he will break it.

  1. I think he will break it but 19.32 in itself is an extremely impressive record.

If Usain keeps his foot on the pedal and dips at the line, his record will never ever be beaten

  2. Yes, I think he will.

  3. I do, and i hope that it stands for a long time, he is phenomenal

  4. he's capable of doing it.  but he won't.  he will be hotdogging his victory before he crosses the finish line.

  5. Yea he will break it, as long as he does not celebrate his victory before he gets to the finish line (like he did in 100m race).

  6. i do

  7. easily. Even with his eyes closed!

  8. If he tries!

  9. I expect Bolt will break Johnson's record, sooner or later. Whether this will be at these Olympic Games depends on whether he can deal with the expectations, and if he does, whether he'll start celebrating his victory 50 yards from the finishing line.

  10. I agree I don't think Usain will break it either, the best I've ever seen him do was 19.91

  11. Yes he can break the WR,

    enjoy his WR in 100m

  12. YES!!!!     OF COURSE HE WILL!!

  13. Definitely.  Usain Bolt is s**y as h**l!

  14. I think Usain Bolt will win the 200 m race, and break Michael Johnson's record of 19.32. I just think that because Bolt was originally a 200 metre sprinter, and then just tried the 100 metres and qualified to represent his team. So his priority was originally 200 metres, so I think that's his main focus.

  15. Yeah, given the ease with which he won the 100m, I'd be surprised if he didn't break the 200m record.

However, seeing that he celebrates more after a 9 second race than the most obnoxious NFL players, I wouldn't mind if he tripped and fell on his face after winning.

  16. If he can bring himself not to jog the last few yards :D

  17. I know, he let his arms drop with about 15 metres to go.

I think he will smash it.

  18. You have not seen this guy run have you? I did he won't shatter a world record  unless he is paid to so.  that is why he is slowing down 10 meters before the race is over.  After all there is no big bucks for becoming the fastest man on the planet.
