He started to celebrate wayyy before the end of the race. If he had kept his form until the finish line, the dude could have gotten an even lower time!! When an interviewer mentioned this, Usain shut him down and was just like,"I don't care I got 1st place and a WR anyways." I still think he's awesome though, lol. But...ego much?

  1. he was overjoyed, maybe just a bit cocky. But he will do a better time in the future.

I admit I would have wanted to see a 9.60, instead of that celebration. Just because now he'sin a great condition, and you don't know what will happen in the future...just think of Liu Xiang that is injured.

  2. I think he's confident! So what if he's cocky, did u see Justin  Gatlin and Shaun Crawford in the last Olympics? Americans are cocky not Jamaicans

  3. I felt he was happy, just really, really happy - and proud.

    Not cocky - there's a difference

    I felt sorry for Asafa who didn't medal :( I expected him & lightening bolt to take 1 & 2 .....

  4. yea he is.but hes got reason to be so......

  5. He is quite self important....

Worlds fastest HOTDOG should be his title...

  6. its perfectly normal. i would definantly be that way if i had all of that speed. you are right, and he still is awesome!

  7. its his first olympic and hes young. cut him some slack. i would be celebrating too if i had just won a gold medal. he said he didnt care about the wr he just wanted the gold

  8. yeah he is and should be because he's a freak...but if he had USA on his chest you would not hear the end of the bullshit from all the non-americans yapping about how arrogant we are...i.e. the idiot above me.

and Brad P...what country does my comment tarnish? Im just defending america you self loathing prick.

  9. I think he shouldn't have slowed down..but then again, he was so far ahead of all the other racers.  It's surprising that he didn't regret what he did, then again, no athletes would want to regret anything they did at the olympics.  He is awesome, i mean he IS the fastest man in the world ^o^

Not all American's are cocky...look at Phelps for example, he carries himself with dignity. Not a bit of arrogance :)
