Question:

Do you think Valverde's tour de france is over?

He's more than 4 minutes down on Evans and 3 minutes on the rest of the favorites. Does anybody think he can take back enough time in the Alps to at least reach a podium place? Or did he peak too early like he seems to always do?

  1. personally yes, multiple crashes early on like that can be devastating to your mental game, since they are cracking down on doping i don't think he'll make any miraculous comebacks like Landis did 2 years ago, its a shame i liked Valverde too

  2. i don't see him take back that much time from any of the favorites, but he be able to move up a spot or two

  3. I hope not.  With the absence of the best team (Astana) and the best rider (Contador) I was hoping to see a wide open race to the finish. I know Lance was down by much more and came back, so it can happen. I am not saying the Valverde is another Armstrong, but the competition is not another Ulrich.
