Do u think its unfair that the RFL choose Celtic and Salford over Widnes to expand the sport...when they both have c**p grounds, hardly any fans etc etc etc!!

Widnes spent 12million on getting to the standard it is today to hopefully get into superleague...and Celtic and Salford both have spent none!!

Salford's new ground plans have already folded too because of the construction company has gone into administration!

Celtic havn't even got a team or anything! They have just got in because they are in Wales...and the RFL has already admitted this.

I think this is all unfair on Widnes...

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

  1. I think the whole system is wrong full stop.

Being a Hull FC fan, we got an A license meaning that we cannot be relegated for atleast another 9 years. What is a league without relegation?

If Widnes had been given the license, I can't really see you expecting to be winning the challenge cup, or the grand final so what would you have had to cheer for? Atleast when there is that relegation you can have the bragging rights of relegating another team in your place.

As for Salford, and Celtic going up, Salford have been around for many years and rugby league has never really taken off in Manchester so quite what this is going to achieve I'm not sure, but they did have a real claim for one of those spots, so thats fair enough in my eyes.

Celtic however, Wales is a Rugby union country, they have just as much chance of exporting cricket to America.

I would prefer them to get rid of Catalan, and Harlequins out of super league (Oh and Rovers of Course), they bring nothing to the super league. They bring no away support whatsoever.

As for what it is going to do to the lower leagues now, they will all have to be part time clubs, and thus no one will really stand a chance once they do get into super league.

I'm sorry to say it but without some investor coming in and pumping the money in widnes will struggle to ever cut it in the top league now, much the same as the premier league in football. And it's such a shame for the backbone teams of rugby league, such as your Widnes, Featherstone, Whitehaven ect...

  2. Think you'll get your chance in 3 years Sarah....It was obvious they were gonna give the Welsh side a chance...As for Salford......They'll struggle....Look forward to playing you again....
