  1. No. Anybody can post things and there are only so many modereators.

  2. I don't know now, I never questioned the reliability of wikipedia before but now i'm starting to have doubts

  3. Yes at present it is very reliable. Millions of volunteers are working on it. If anyone gives false information  then others challenge it and if the information is false it is readily removed.

A featured article or good article is provided with much references. So if you have doubt then you can check the link and references provided.

So, I think it is very reliable except the stub class articles.

  4. yes, seems so

  5. Its reliable, but do not under any circumstances use it in a paper, or anything for school....

However the info on there is most always correct so its good to get a basis off there

  6. So many people use it.

    lets hope it is :)

  7. no.  people can change the info at any time.

  8. Pretty much. Occasionally it needs updating.

  9. It depends on how you interpret "reliable". It's very reliable if you are finding some content to write an English essay.

But it's not reliable when you are finding content on history, personalities and scientific and technical stuffs.

I have stumbled upon a lot of vandalisms in Wikipedia including lies, foul words and insults.

Wikipedia is too easy to be abused. They should make the system stricter.

  10. I defiantly know that it is reliable **citation needed**

  11. For school projects, I suggest using Wikipedia as a good place to start with background information but don't cite it. Most of it is reliable, but I would visit the citation websites at the bottom of the page to be sure of the page's content.

  12. It's as reliable as asking another person about it. Usually it's fairly easy to tell when you ask if the person you've asked is giving you facts or their personal opinion. That's about how Wikipedia is. Some of it is c**p, but you can usually pick out the c**p quite easily.

  13. I AM ADDICTED TO WIKIPEDIA! SO yes I do think it is reliable, especially because they use citations

  14. I like Wikipedia.

I think it is a good place to get ideas but I would double check what I read on there.

Alot of college professors won't allow you to cite Wikipedia as your source because they consider it unreliable, but at the same time I read a published book the other day that had a quote from Wikipedia.

    So who knows.

I like the information I get on there, but if I was going to write a term paper or something and I wanted to be taken seriously, I wouldn't quote wikipedia

  15. Yes, i do. i love wikipedia.

  16. No.  Wikipedia can be changed by anyone who visits the site.

Someone could easily tell false information about a certain subject(s)

I think that the site should'nt be edited by everyone.

It should tell the truth about the subjects it has!  And ONLY the truth!!!

  17. It's a bunch of squabbling circus clowns trying

to out-do each other and the articles reverse

themselves from day to day. It's not reliable

    at all.

  18. It is comparable to other online and print reference works. It could be much better however. Its great strength is that if anyone in the world notices an error, they can correct it immediately.

  19. I hope it is xD
