  1. No, how about Anchorage, Juneau, and Fairbanks instead?

  2. sure

You know they'll never let their teams leave again

  3. yeah,sure

  4. I am from the hartford area and yes!!!! i need an nhl team back. i am tired of watchng the hartford wolfpack (AHL) or having to drive all the way to boston or newyork to watch a game.

  5. As long as the support will be there sure. Let's see what type of building and all they have, as long as they will have a good Arena then sure let them try. The only thing is I think if a city isn't supporting the team then the team should be allowed to move.

  6. None of them should've lost their teams in the first place, so of course.

  7. I think Hamilton, Winnipeg, and Quebec City do. Bring some more NHL hockey into the place where the roots originate...

  8. Of the three, I'd say the most deserving would be Quebec City. Then again, I think that there are already too many teams in the NHL.

  9. yeah they can take Nashville, Florida, pick a team from California, ext.

    KEEP HOCKEY WHERE THERES ICE.

  10. Winnipeg!

  11. If there is a market that will support an NHL team, then by all means, go ahead.

  12. Winnipeg

  13. You do realize that those places weren't bid enough to support a team then, and costs have only grown, right?

Those teams moved for good reason. Owners do not move teams to locations that cannot support it for sentimental reasons.

  14. Yeah man, I'm glad you brought that up. We definetly need more Canadian teams in the NHL, and these cities should get a second opportunity to have successful teams.

  15. As long as the market can support it, why not? And I miss the Whalers...

  16. It would be great if they could sell enough tickets in those cities to make it happen.

..But if that was the case, then none of them would have moved in the first place.

Winnipeg went to Phoenix. That's just sad.

  17. I'm more in favour of a return of the WHA.  I mean hockey's on the rise and the NHL already has enough teams.  Some proposed teams could be.

Winnipeg, Quebec City, Hartford, Toronto, Hamilton.  as well as some non traditonal hockey cities like Las Vegas, Huston, San Fransisco, Salt Lake City just to name a few.  And then maybe someday the WHA will get strong enough to compete against the NHL in a World Series of Hockey.  some day.  I just don't see the logic in adding Franchises to the NHL that'll be small market.  With all the revenue sharing going on it would just hurt the other teams to add teams that without the cap couldn't support a $20 million pay roll.  A new WHA would have a lower cap at 1st take on a bunch of small market franchises.  And then try putting franchises in places like New York, Toronto, and maybe a few others big markets.  Maybe in like 20 years the WHA cap will be about even with the NHL.  But for now it would bring alot of Canadian and American players in europe back home.

  18. Well, I think Anchorage and Juneau are a little too far lol. It would suck if there was a stanley cup finals match between New York and Anchorage. As for the other three, Winnepeg, I don't think could keep up to the American Markets, Quebec moved because they weren't making enough money because players didn't like pure french, and Hartford moved because they weren't allowed a new arena. So  think Hartford could get one. As for the other two, I think it'd be pretty tough. Hamilton on the other hand, could get one but the NHL has rules where a home team can argue within a 200 mle radius in this case for Hamilton, Toronto and Buffalo are between 200 miles for it. I think one suitable Canadian city that could support a team would be Halifax. Why? Because the maritime provinces are so closely linked you could have fans from NB, PEI, and NFLD attending. Plus, American states like Maine and Conneticut as well.
