Question:

Do you think a footlong sub is too much to eat?

Someone I know critisized me for getting a footlong sub because he said that a 6 inch should be enough eating a whole footlong is going overboard. Do you think so? I thought lots of people eat footlongs, I'm sorry but 6 inches don't fill me up. Plus I don't get a combo just the sub and he gets a 6 inch with chips and soda, don't the callories level out to eachother?

  3. Sometimes I have a 6 in, sometimes a 12 in... just depends on how hungry I am.

    If you are not overweight and are active, eat the 12 in if you want!  The only one I might say is too much to be eating a 12 in would be ones like the meatball sub... that probably has a lot of fat and calories... ones with lean meat and veggies, go ahead!

  5. Although I know a few people who can eat a foot-long sub, it's just too much for me.  I might eat half now and half in a few hours, but never all at the same time.

I always order a foot long...even more often now that Subway is doing the $5 foot long!!  I always get the veggie one, sometimes with cheese, and ALL the veggies.  It is so good.  I think it's the perfect amount to be full/satisfied, but maybe if I would put meat on them, I might be fuller.  Definitely think a 6 inch is not enough, either way.  Oh, and I always skip the chips/drink.  :)  

    LOVE the $5 foot long!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Getting a footlong is a better deal because if you can't finish it you can always save some for later.  I mostly always get a footlong.

  9. I usually get a 6 inch sub plus baked chips and tea...but with Subway and Quizno's offering $5 footlongs you may as well just get that.  If you choose healthy toppings, low calorie meat and wheat bread plus no mayo or cheese the subs are pretty good for you :)

  10. A 6 inch sub would not fill me up. I always get a 6 inch with chips. If I didn't get the chips I could probably eat a foot long.

  13. Well, yes and no. It really depends on what type of sandwich you are eating. Like, if you got a Footlong Roast Beef (say) which would equal up to 580 calories, and he got an 6 inch roast beef, whic is already 290 calories, plus the pop and the chips, he would probably have MORE calories than you.

  14. I'm still hungry after a 6 inch too. It is probably too much (footlong), but most of our portions are. I still pick the footlong.

    Depending on the chips, the calories can even out, really depends on what's going on the sandwich.

  15. it will be my whole meal for lunch. Better than starve....
