yesterday, i looked up at my back drive way, to my horror a sketchy drugged up scumbag was making his way towards me, i ran through to get my bf and he came thru to see, the man appeared to have vanished so we presumed he was trying to brake in to our car(i have double garageg which blocked the view) my bf got our german shephard and ran round the street to our back gates and looked blankly towards me. i glaced about and spotted the man in my neighbours garden spying through their patio doors, next thing i know, the man jumps back over the 6ft wall in to my garden, then my border collie ran and lept up on to him. i shouted what are you doing in my garden, he said oh oh oh and ran towards the exit (my back gates) but was faced with my bf and the german shephard which was up on hind legs barking, after a bull excuse he left, the police came etc etc but i spent last night awake terrified hed return. will a KEEP OUT SIGN & CCTV IN OPERATION MAKE A DIFFERENCE? my neighbours just went away

  1. Just invest in a real alarm system.  You can buy fake cctv camera things which are a deterrent too.

  2. We've had that a few times too - we live in the middle of nowhere so people seem to think they're welcome to our things.  But no, in our experiance a Keep Out sign only makes the place more attractive, like you have something worth stealing in there.

All you can do is make the place really secure - like putting roses up by the fence so its harder to climb, and getting big padlocks visable from the outside to put people off, and have one of those flashing alarm boxes so it looks as though its all very well protected.

  3. no ! You would only advertise that you had something worth pinching !
