Let's say I was pulled over for speeding.... I was going 5 over the speed limit. Do you think the police officer would accept the excuse,"Well I was going 5 under a while ago due to a slow car in front of me, so I decided to go 5 over now to make up the time. It just made sense mathematically."?

I'd like to think it's a good excuse....

  1. The cop will likely respond with, "Well, a while ago, I gave this driver just a warning and let him go.  So, now I have decided to give you a ticket.  It just makes sense mathematically."

  2. IT'S A TERRIBLE EXCUSE

  3. Sure.  While you're at it apply the same logic to compensating for red lights, stop signs, construction, toll booths, etc.  "Well I was going 65 under while stopped at the toll booth, so I decided to drive 130 mph to make up the time.  I'm a mathematical genius, aren't I?"

  4. Obviously poor excuse, however, if a cop pulled you over for only 5 over the limit, I would believe he's gotta be the world's biggest A**hole

  5. I would usually let people go and give them a warning, if they didnt give me a stupid reason, just say yes I know I was speeding a little, no excuse.

I know besides a fine, it can make your insurance rates go up, so I never gave them out unless someone really deserved one.

  6. Whatever happened to just showing some of your goodies?  ...everyone feels they need to talk nowadays.

  7. Very creative and original.

  8. No.  He'll say you should have just passed them if they were going too slow for you.

  9. it's pretty unlikely the police will pull u over for going only 5 over

it might work if u extend ur excuse, like say ur going to ur baby shower ur something

  10. It sounds all good, until you try to go 55 under, and then what?
