Do you think a tattoo is appropriate. ?

Me and My 2 friends have known each other since Preschool.We will all be 16 in a year and we wanted to get tattoos together. we wont be getting the same one. Here's what we where thinking.

Shooting Star on the foot

my other friend is still undecided but she is thinking about a little bird on the back of her shoulder.she is a cheerleader.

I'm in love with music and i wanted a treble cleft and music note on the top of my foot or on the inside of my forearm about an inch from my palm.

We know we need a parent.

While I think it is wonderful that you and your friends all love each other and want to share this experience, i personally think that you are too young and should wait.  The things that you have mentioned wanting are not original, they are pretty run of the mill really.  I would wait and think about it for longer, so that you don't end up with a tattoo that is the same as a billion other people.

Appropriate for what?  They sound like really common, boring tattoos.  They're your bodies though.

And you might wanna look up tattoo laws for your state, most states you need to be 18, period.  Even if you do live in one of the states that allows the tattooing of minors with parental consent you should call around to different reputable shops and ask what their policy on tattooing minors is.  Just because it might be legal to tattoo minors with parental consent doesn't mean that the tattoo shops don't retain the right to refuse service to anyone.

Yeah that sounds pretty appropriate. Make sure the place your going to is clean and get a small tattoo because it's your first.

This is a cute idea but I would wait till your older, maybe 18.

2 Reasons for this.

1.  A lot can happen in two years, since all of you have known each other for so long, the friendship is not what I am saying is going to change, but as individuals all or some of you may change.  

2.  A tattoo is for life, thus choosing a tattoo and where to place it need some serious consideration.
