Do you think a well trained Delta Force Operator could escape from prison?

really smart/good in the art of combat, stealth, engineering, survival skills, and etc.?

Of course they could, they break into foreign prisons and out undetected probably.  But the only person that would really know would be a Delta Force Operator...and since they don't tell what their job is/was good look doing that.

i will go as far as to say as a retired LT COL with USMC force recon div there are very few things that can keep one of my troops or even my old self locked up...yes moder max sec prisons are meant to but every system regardless of how new or modern has a flaw somewhere and as stated in at least one other post we are trained to exploit any flaw we observe..so yes i do believe a well trained delta force operative would indeed escape from one...easily

Considering regular people do it on a regular basis, I don't see why not.

There was a television series awhile ago on that theme. The producers took a disused prison and renovated it and staffed it. There were a few minor exploitable flaws which could be exploited. The idea was to put specialist and film them over 24 hours as they worked out their escape. They tested the facility by putting a couple of ex-SAS in there. They were out inside 12 minutes. So they tighten security and tried again. It took only slightly longer. Then the idea got canned and no pilot got made.

Modern prisons are designed to have no security flaws. No one can escape from a locked solid cell. But Prisons are busy places and mistakes can be made. All special forces are selected for their awareness and ability to spot details that make a difference. I’m not saying that a Special Ops would escape from a modern prison, but compared to the other inmates they would stand a much better chance to spot opportunities and take advantage of them.
