  1. probably.

but, your insurance won't cover it.

  2. I believe that the prescription is good for one year....depending on your age of course. Your eye doctor should have this on file.

  3. If you had an exam 7 months ago and got glasses, the ugly ones I assume, then you can go in and get new ones on the same prescription. I'm not sure if that is what you are asking or if you prefer the vision in your old pair, and want that prescription duplicated. Either way, if you ask for a copy of your last Rx some doctors will give it to you and note in the chart what you have done. Other doctors will adhere to an "expiration policy" and not give it to you. A competent optician can also duplicate the prescription off your existing old glasses. It will not make your eyes worse or better by wearing a different Rx, just the vision you experience may differ between old and new.

  4. They should still have your prescription, but its extremely hard to make lenses that are perfect to your exact eye specs, even with the right prescription. If your lenses were even the tineist bit off, it will make your eyes worse too. You should always get an exam between every glasses change.

  5. depending on your dr, your eyeglass prescription is good for either 1 yr or 2 yrs (contact lens Rx only good for 1 yr) and the Rx is always in the computer and if it isn't in the computer, the office is required to keep your hard copy records for 3 yrs before it can be sent out to storage.
