Do you think aliens exist???

If you think they do, than please tell me why or why not.10 points for best answer.

It's possible that they exist, but we don't know of any extra-terrestrial life, which simply means life originating outside the earths biosphere.

A human born on mars would be an extra-terrestrial, and to them we would all be extra-martial life.

Statistically - there must be life on other planets.... after all there are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on all the beaches in the world!

It needent be intelligent life though.... Remember there was life on earth for over 4 billion years before humans came along - which makes humanity very special and important!

I hope we can survive long enough to communicate with other intelligent beings... But our own milky way galaxy is 100,000 light years across and so if there are only a dozen or so intelligent lifeforms within it at any particular time, then it's very unlikely we could ever communicate with them.

In order to be in with a chance of talking to an alien - there would have to have many thousands of intelligent lifeforms in our own galaxy (say on average 1 every 100 light years or thereabouts)... but even then transmitting a signal then waiting 100 years for it to get there, and another 100 to get a response seems like a very slow conversation!

I'm sure they wonder about us - just as we wonder about them. I'm sure that there are lumps of alien junk floating around the galaxy (like our Voyger spacecraft which is just leaving out solar system and heading into outer space). It would be lovely to find such a thing. To know for sure that we are not alone! ;-)

It is questionable. No one really knows so know one can say yes there is or no there isn't. It would be interesting if there was, there would be so many questions asked what do they look like? or even would we understand them. We have not really travelled around in space enough to understand what really is up there. I guess it is up to our imaginations.

If aliens do exist they are smart enough not to reveal themselves until the time is right, when humans have gotten over their war like frame of mind. If and when there is true peace on earth, like that's ever going to happen here on this Corporate planet while war is still a big money maker for the merchants of death.

In 1961 Dr Drake of UC Santa Cruz presented a simple equation at one of the early meetings that organized the SETI project.

Known as the Drake equation, it was used to organize the scientific effort. It was adopted and promoted by Carl Sagan.

Dr Drake's original estimate was 10 extraterrestial civilizations in our galaxy with whom communication might be possible.

However, some of the values of the equation parameters are very uncertain, so the estimates typically range from zero (not counting us) to several thousand, with the consensus being a few (one or more).

yeah but i dont think there civilised as us. :) + live trillions + trillions of miles away and will never bee in contacct withh us. why would earth be the only planet with living things on it?

My reason.

With the thousands upon thousands of galaxies (that we know of), and the Trillions upon Trillions of Stars in those Galaxies, and all of the "empty" space in between those Galaxies in this Incomprehensibly vast and Expanding Universe of ours, we would be complete fools to think that we are the only life form in existence.

Man said the earth was flat and if you travel too far, you'll fall off the edge! that was proven wrong.

Man said, The Sun Revolves around the Earth and that Earth is the Center of The Universe....that was way wrong.

Man said, Mankind will never Fly...if man were meant to fly, God would have given us wings....that was Wrong.

Man said, the sound barrier could never be broken, Man cannot travel faster than the speed of sound...WRONG.

Man said, we could never reach the heavens, man could never travel to the moon, it's impossible....that was wrong.

How many more things will man find out that we were WRONG about? I wonder?

I think aliens exist because living things fill up the whole Earth and grow everywhere.  

There are millions of planets in the universe, and it simply doesn't make sense to assume that we are the only sentient beings in such a huge place.  

Why would other planets like ours not have as much life on them as this one?  

Again, it wouldn't and doesn't make sense for aliens to not exist.

Besides that, we have stories from our ancestors that suggest that aliens do exist and have visited Earth.  You can call them myths, legends or folklore, but they all have an origin somewhere.

One more thing.  Many people have had encounters with aliens.  I don't believe that all of those people are delusional.

Therefore, aliens do exist.

I don't think there are superior beings out there. God never mentioned them in the Bible. But wouldn't it be weird if they did exist.  That would mean God would have had to created them.  It'd be like God had another family and we never knew about them.

I've heard ufos are actually human crafts visiting us from the future to stop us from making dangerous mistakes.

i think it's stupid and arrogant to assume this whole universe was created just for us.... or that out of the hundreds of billions of VISIBLE GALAXIES earth is the only planet with life...

if you believe in aliens you're not claiming there are little green men running around us, you're not admitting to being crazy... you're admiting to the inevitable.... that life is not unique to earth.
