  1. You saw that last night too?  Wow, wasn't that weird?   His hands and feet really look like tree roots.  A wart?  I don't know...there has to be another explanation if he's the only one like that.

  2. no when he was a teen he got cut on his leg. some fungus got into his leg and into his system. it's nothing magical.

  3. I saw the documentary mentioned in the video as well. It's really a very strange disease, but it's not just a wart going untreated. It's actually caused by the Human Papilloma Virus which is a common and mostly benign virus known to cause small warts, coupled with a rather rare immunodeficiency that allowed this virus to run rampant. Since the documentary he has had surgery but it looks like he has a ways to go still.

EDIT: This would have been a good question to ask in the Medicine or Health category.

  4. Oh I've seen that video before. It's crazy isn't it. Apparently by the time he had enough money to get the disease treated, he was rather barky.

  5. OMG, that can not be real? Is that real?

  6. But that guy had an opportunity to slowly get rid of the disabling disease, but he chose not to because being a side show freak is an easy income.

You know his kids have to look at him and wonder if that's going to be their fate at well.

  7. I have had to deal with warts.  I would have killed myself if they had gotten that bad.  How sad to be put on tv because you are so different in a wierdway.  I hope he got paid for being a spectacle.

  8. Reminds me of Michael Palin in the life of Brian as the ex-lepper finding it hard to earn an honest living after Jesus cured him.

    "Sheckle for an ex-lepper?"

You do find some strange s#!t ?

    How about this guy -

I think most of the village are his family.

  9. I saw that guy on Medical Mysteries last night or the night before.  I don't see any reason to doubt the doctors and give it paranormal significance.  Maybe his mother was an Ent from Lord of the Rings?

Edit: Gotcha, I don't think I noticed the category you put this in.
