  1. Yes, but the only alternative available at this time that can supply the enormous amount of energy we need at a reasonable cost is Nuclear Power. "Environmentalists" killed this industry in the US once, and I am afraid they will stop it again because to many of them don't understand the facts about Solar and Wind possibilities and costs.

  2. no, its not moving fast enough, but in time it will, it look,s like we will have to maybe not in our lifetimes but one day . people wont buy them till they have to in most cases i am the same way my car work fine for now  but when i have to buy new, it will most likely be one of the new cars .it will work its way slowly remember all the big boy have to sell what they have to day be fore they think about the future

  3. Yes.

It is not a question if we will run out of fossil fuels.  But When.

have not noticed anymore Dinasours dying off recently and decomposing over millions of years to produce more fossil fuel.

  4. No doubt about it.  Solar power technology is projected to become 40% more efficient by 2010, and offshore wind power is becoming a viable option.

California is a great example.  In fact, just yesterday I was checking out the energy mix from my utility company (PG&E). They get 34% of their energy from renewable sources, 24% from nuclear, 40% from natural gas, and just 1% from coal:

Congress just passed legislation to require power companies to get 15% of their power from renewables

and with global warming getting more and more attention, the future of renewable energy is very bright.

  5. I feel the need for alternative fuels isn't going to be an issue of opinion, as long as oil is controlled by the ones not in need of.

I do believe there could be a bright future in alternative fuels if the lack of oil hits the ones at the top of the chain.

  6. as much as i want it to, i really don't think so because people in this world are afraid of change and won't except changes. They just want to use the same thing and don't care about using alternative resources to help save the planet.

  7. no doubt certainly the alternative energy resources have a very bright future in coming days. in recent years practically i had seen the wind energy in our  has deveoloped a very past growth even upto 10 to 15% of total demand and still itis running with a high speed

secondly the solar energy and the energy through biogas are also seen a rapid growth nowadays

we can see the tidel energy also in comming years

  8. yes it would be very enviromental friendly but it would not be economically friendly b/c the cost of the hybrid vehicals now so u may be helping the enviroment but ur hurting the economy

  9. Yes Ethanol can be made from other sources ,other than corn!  When you city folk say Maize you think it is a whole different crop!   Maize is the Indian word for corn!  They are devoloping new ways to use Switchgrass and other unusable  as otherwise plants(weeds) the reason the price is still about the same is they have to build the plants to make the Ethanol  Once established the price will drop and our dependancy on foriegn oil will drop helping all the U.SA.
