ethanol and bio diesel will be good for the future, but they won't

solve our immediate problem- officials say they are at least 3 to 4 years from being practical. we need to start today developing our own, in anwr and coastal waters. thats the only solution, like it or not.

  1. No you are wrong continuing the use and exploration of oil is the biggest mistake we could ever make like it or not. If we do not stop feeding the beast ( the oil companies ) we are doomed. The higher gas prices go, alternative fuels become more economical and the officials are wrong its not 3 to 4 years away its already practical. I have 2 diesels running on bio diesel (B100) I make myself. There are companies making it for dirt cheap Look up Valcent, this company is making bio diesel right now for 25 cents a gallon, they are research and development company that is making bio diesel with algae and making over 20,000 gallons of oil per acre now. If the United States government (aka W) wouldn't drag its feet and approve patents so that they can release and sell this technology we would see fuel prices go down. The reason I know this information is I am heavily invested in this particular company, there are others out there in the same boat. The only solution to this problem is get the oil baron out of office (Bush)

  2. bio diesels that are promoted to e used isn't doing any good. its carbon emissions is the same as a gas. it really don't help at all.

alternatives we need are alternatives that are really eco friendly.

  3. What immediate problem? Peak oil? Read the articles.

For cars, on-board electorlysis of water to produce hydrogen is a nice idea.

For electrcity supply, nuclear is best. Don' t believe the left-wing propaganda about it being dangerous or realated to weopons - none of that is true. It has been in safe use for 50 years in many countries.

Solar, wind, tidal etc has been proven to be inpracticable and uneconomical.

"Bio fuels" are uneconomical too, and the required crops displace food crops. Don't fix pollution either, though they may reduce it.

  4. No, it is not the only solution.  Your "solution" isn't any more practical than any of the other "solutions."

  5. It is insanity to take the food grains that keep millions alive and use them now to make fuel. Why do they need the corn why can't they utilize the husks and stalks?

With millions of hungry people starving I find it is unrealistic, sadistic and cruel to take the food sources and drive the price of them up further.

Some one somewhere needs to get real and wake up and smell the coffee some where besides in their own cushy kitchen.

There is lots of oil out there and a lot of fat cats pumping out bogus propaganda while stuffing their pockets with the profits.
