Do you think any industry will ever top Pornography as the #1 business on the internet? What will it be?

Excellent question.  I doubt anything will, but if anything were to (assuming no novel ideas or business models come along) only trans-internet medical services of PACS teleradiology may come close (on a global basis) or perhaps sites like Myspace & Facebook may somehow draw more traffic.  But in all honesty, since human biology hasn't changed all that much in past coupled hundred thousand years, I doubt that people will lose their inherent sexual interest in pornographic material, so it's only natural that as pornography has become mainstream, it will only become a greater internet model for revenue.

It depends on how you define "business on the Internet." Every day, billions of dollars of financial services transactions occur over the Internet, just within the confines of the banking industry.

If you are talking about direct business-to-consumer purchases, I'm not sure what the dollar figures are, but I could certainly see consumer electronics surpassing p**n as the gas prices go up and more and more people feel comfortable buying big-ticket items online.

However, I'm sure p**n will remain in the top five, certainly.

I can't imagine how anything could top it.  Sexual desire and arousal is  universal and a natural human characteristic.
