Do you think any of the hurricanes are going to hit Virginia hard?

I live near Richmond and not sure whats going to happen, nobody seems to want to say much. Maybe they dont know much or anything.

i live in rockingham nc about two hours from myrtle beach.. i have a friend who goes to vcu and says that richmond is only suppose to get rain.. i am expecting full force hurricane winds up to 100 miles an hour down here.. i don't think you will get much more than rain..

From what I have heard from meterologists, the hurricanes are predicted to make landfall as a Cat 1. This means winds will be from about 74 to upwards of 95 mph.  Accompianied by rain. The damage then is usually some downed trees, branches, shingles off of roofs, and debris.  Heavy Rains could also cause flooding. I think in Richmond you should be alright.

this storm isnt an easy one to predict becuase the projected path as well as the computer models keep on taking the center more an more toward the east. i think virgina should be safe, but expect high winds above 45 mph and some rain
