yes, i think so.  i also think there are a h**l of a lot more top athletes taking drugs than we know - they're ahead of the drug-testers.

yes of course

look at some of the european swimmers, look at the french male sprinter his physique is abnormal, even doing weights , his body is grotesque, this is just one example there are many others.

why is it some of these european countries only have these superman atheletes around olympicsa time and you never hear of them at any other time in the previous 4 years

ie: france. italy, greece, russia, spain etc

these countries seem to pull athletes from no where every 4 years then nothing for the time in between events, dodgy if u ask me

If the question is "do I think any of the top athletes are drug cheats"? then in all likelihood the answer is yes. SOME athletes will be cheats (there have always been a minority that cheat)

If the question is "do I think they will get caught"? the answer is some of the fools probably but it will be by accident or stupidity on the athlete's part.

NO real impact will be made on the drug problem in sport until the IOC take some of the billions the athletes make them and use it for systematic testing instead of private jets, and 6 star junkets.

Since this question asks about the opinions of the readers (or the answerers), the answer would be inevitably subjective and would change from person to person.

However, if we remember that Marion Jones was one of the most tested athletes in the near past and in every test she was found to be clean, we can understand that the tests may not always be enough to find out if an athlete is truly clean or not. Marion Jones confessed herself years later that she used steroids, and that is why she is in jail now.

In the same sense, some records in long distances, especially women races, are so incredible that, it is generally accepted that Chinese and Eastern German athletes who made those scores were using drugs that were not possible to detect at the time. Some of these athletes have already told to the press that their trainers used to give them some substances, which even the athletes did not know the ingredients.
