I really want to go on a different cruise, but this is the only one my parents will go on this year. It will be my first time on a cruise so I don't really know what to expect. I'm 16, and I don't think there will be anybody my age going on a cruise to Canada the last week in August.......

I just want to know like what to expect, and if anybody else my age will be crazy enough to go on a cruise like this haha. Any kind of further information/reassurance will be extremely helpful!

Thanks! :)

  1. There's always teens on cruises.  Carnival has lots of activities, and will probably have a teen club with movies, dancing, and activities.  I met tons of people on my cruise.  Just don't be shy and get to know people! If the club has an activity the first night, go to it. Email me for any other cruise-related questions, I've been on 4.

  2. Ther are LOTS of teens on cruises. Most (if not all) cruise lines have teen lounges on the ships where you can meet and hang out with people your age. They have challenges and games. You'll really enjoy it! My friend went on a cruise when she was 15 and she made a bunch of friends who she still talks to today! You can also meet people at the arcade, gym, or spa. Hope you have fun!

  3. Ive been on a Carnival Cruise about 2 years ago when I was 15. I had a lot of fun. There is a teen lounge/hangout and they have activities for them to do, but honestly it didnt appeal to me. Instead I went to the comedy shows, watched the activities on the main deck, and stuff like that. There are quite a few teens so if youre outgoing youll have a good time! Theres an arcade where young people gather. The pool looked like fun but there were wayyy too many toddlers playing in it. Youll have a great time, dont worry about meeting anyone else, youll be very busy! Oh, I found a Carnival Cruise message forum, I dont know if its what youre looking for but it might have a lot of useful info.

  4. Most cruises have tons of stuff set up for different age groups. Get online at carnival cruises and find the cruise ship you're going on.  http://www.carnival.com/FunShips.aspx  should get you there.  Do a "virtual tour" and also surf on their website.  Then when you get onship, so to the conceige desk or customer services desk and see if they have a flyer for people your age.  Get involved in everything you can for your age and you'll be shocked how many there will be on ship!

Have a great time.  I am scheduled for my 5th cruise (on Norweigen Cruise line) for next December.  We are taking 5 of our young people with.  It will be their first time as well.

    ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

  5. There's always tons of teens around your age on cruises. No matter what time, what destination, some people don't care about where the cruise takes you, they just like the cruise aspect. I can assure you that there will be tons of teens your age.

There's a ton of ways that you can meet people your age on the ship.  There's the teen "hangouts" or clubs, the pools, and so much more. You can meet  so many people, as long as you're willing to. People who are really shy in introducing themselves, won't meet many people. But if you're looking for people to hang out with, and really want to, then you definitely will, guarenteed!

The only way you can really find out who will be on the same cruise as you, is by going onto boards.cruisecritic.com

Cruise Critic is the leading site for everything you can possibly imagine for cruising.

If you want to meet people or find out about people who are going on the same cruise as you, you have to

    1) log on to cruisecritic.com and you will make to make an account-it's free & let's you access the entire site.

    2) either click on board at the top left of the page or go to boards.cruisecritic.com

    3) Scroll down to where it says ROLL CALLS - Members Only, & then choose carnival.

    4) you will then get a list of all of the ships, so click on the one that you are going on

    5) you will then see many threads, you have to look for the one that is the same cruise that you're going on. it will probably say the date, maybe the destination and the departure port. introduce yourself and ask around to see who else is going on that very same cruise as you.

If you have any further questions, feel free to send me a message- I'd be glad to help!

hope this helps, good luck & have fun!!! (:

  6. Quit worrying, there will be others of your age on the cruise, and you will have a wonderful time.

    Regards,

    Dan
