Do you think anyone (like perhaps Ginepri or Isner) can prevent a James Blake vs Andy Roddick US Open Final?

I dont think anyone can stop Andy Roddick & James Blake from meeting in the finals of the US Open. They're just too strong, and unbeatable right now. What do you guys think?

  1. LOL, ummm are you serious? They are unbeatable right now? How do you perceive this? They are quite inconsistent. Roddick, though his lone slam is The US Open, needs to improve his ground game, especially that backhand.  Blake looks like a machine at times, then gets to that certain point, match and looks lost.  While I salute you to your backing your American players, you do need a reality check, sorry.  =).

  2. Umm...yeah. How about the defending US Ope champion, the French Open and Wimbledon champion, the Australian Open champion, and Davydenko, Ferrer or anyone else who makes a good run at the US Open?

  3. There is always a possibility that lower ranked players could win the US Open. Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic are the talk of the town by now but an upset is always lurking in the shadows... who ever thought that Tsonga could have reached the finals of the Australian Open? Then, let us not be too judgmental,  Roddick and Blake could reach the finals in 1 out of 64 probability pairs....

  4. um... james blake has a bad backhand and loses to low ranked players and roddick isn't that great either except for his serve

i dont expect to see them anywhere near the finals!

  5. there is no possible way of james blake and andy roddick being in the us open finals. Have you seen federer move in the hard court, and djokovic kicked *** at australian open which is the same thing.

  6. Is this a serious question?

    Roddick or Blake...whahahahaha

  7. I suspect that Nadal and Federer will be keen participants at the US Open, and, frankly, I can't see Blake or Roddick having the depth of play to conquer either of these brilliant, adaptable, international players.

Safin usually plays well there, as well?

  8. Well, I think Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, and perhaps Chris Evert have equally good chances of making it to the US Open finals.

  9. i dont think there will be a Blake Roddick finals, maybe roddick will be there but not blake, as for an upset american, i like the was Sam Querry is playing.

  10. I can some-what see Roddick in the final. After all he is skipping the Olympics just to be in the US and practice on the hard courts there. He will be firmly prepared for the Open...

Blake? ... maybe if he gets in the lower part of the draw, gets easy matches and stops Nadal sometime on the way he could be considered a possible finalist

No doubt a final everyone wants to see

  11. Not a chance. I don't know why both Roddick and Blake are in the top 10. They didn't  win any tournament for the past 3 years. Blake have a problem with his backhand and same thing with Roddick. Feferer said before, he knows every shots Roddick have. No way they can beat the top 3 players. Both players will be knock out in the 2nd or 3rd rd in the US Open.
