Do you think anyone will catch up to Ricky Rudd with starts(897)

Ricky has 906 starts. I think the person with the best shot (though it'll take at least 3 years even running a full schedule) is Kyle Petty who is at 823 right now. Terry Labonte is actually closer, 859, but he isn't full time & barely part time.

It'll take Michael a while longer to catch up

Mikey won't make it as driver for more than 1 or 2 more years, so I don't think he will come very close to Ricky's 897 starts.  I think that Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Kasey Kahne or Joey Logano certainly could depending on how long they stay in NASCAR.  I know Kyle has talked about going to F1 when he is somewhere around 30 but we will have to wait and see.  Dale Jr. could end up somewhere around that range, he started young also and I don't see him retiring anytime soon.

It's possible but unlikely. Michael Waltrip will probably won't race that long to get another 187 starts...but who knows if Mikey sets his mind to it I wouldn't bet against him. But with the way sponsorship is going nowadays he may not be able to "afford" to be a driver any more.
